Love the Stone Roses, and always will. With that said, if you want to give this piece of trash your money, I don't feel bad for you if he fucks you over.

The next step will be him singing from his home by videoconference, the Ian Brown Zoom tour, no-one on stage anymore during the gig.

Ian Brown is a one-off.
The socials from his Glasgow gig tell a different story to Leeds. You don't go to an Ian Brown gig expecting Roses songs (which made it all the funnier when he did them after Squire had murdered a few live). Ian has a successful solo career and string of great albums.
He's obviously making some kind of point (known only to him I guess) but I don't hear people complain that Kayne or Stormzy have a show that's one bloke who can't sing and a backing track...

I mean I hope you're right and that he is making some kind of statement but I think it's far more likely that he couldn't get a band together cause no one wants to work with someone who's spent the last 2 years destroying his own credibility and public image Edit: about what you said about Stormzy, I'll be straight up and admit that I don't like his music at all BUT it's a bit of an unfair comparison cause he and Ian belong to completely different genres. Stormzy never said he was a singer as such and his genre doesn't really require him to do it anyway (I've heard worse singers too tbf), whereas you'd expect Ian to have even the slightest ability to sing in key. I know it's nothing new in that sense but if anything that makes it worse

He's certainly a one-off lol he sure is. But why the laugh?
As you're on an Oasis forum I guess you understand that without Ian Brown Liam Gallagher, as we know him, simply wouldn't exist.
Have you heard any of Brown's solo records?
I'm certainly not comparing in terms of fame or international cultural importance, but have you heard Bob Dylan sing live at a gig?

If you're referring to Brown's views on Covid vaccinations I very much doubt that musicians or crew who take a different view to his would turn down the work on ideological grounds, so that's not something I would give any credence to as a reason for this 'solo' outing. Is Richard Ashcroft finding the same thing? I guess Clapton's still got a band but I wouldn't know.
"you'd expect Ian to have even the slightest ability to sing in key"
Not if you've ever been to any of his previous live shows, solo or Roses!

I saw Sleaford Mods kind of defending him I understand what they mean but these are proper songs, with verses, choruses, middle 8s, and a multitude of instruments (not a repetitive dance beat). We expect to see a full band perform with Ian Brown, because he always has done this. It's not like he is finding his feet in terms of how he presents his music live. Maybe he can't afford a band. Maybe it's greed. Maybe he did struggle to get a band together. Who knows? This is karaoke, no more, no less. As a result his poor vocals are going to be scrutinised more than they usually are.

He can't sing, doesn't have a band, he should just create playlist of his best songs on phone and play it to audience while dancing to it like Bez.
