Chances are the issues with Guigsy and Alan still stand, that's why it's only a documentary. They can use them in that, they just can't use the performance without permission

For what i saw on the images posted on Instagram from Noel, Liam & Alan it looks that will be the first night.
Another fact is the concert was directed by Dick Carruthers and this will be directed by Jake Scott so i assume it can be a mix of interviews and live songs.
Hope we can have the conplete first night in glorious HQ versions audio and video.

I agree completely. I find it a little weird that it’s a major point of discussion but ultimately I agree they should release the best quality they can. It’s only tinsel, though, and I’m much more interested in the tree. People are mostly bored while waiting to be able to finally discuss that damned tree ... I know. Am I turning in to Mr Grumpy? 🤔 |

We've waited so long for one of the Knebworth concerts to be released so hopefully this won't let us down and it'll be good. And, it would be great if there were cd and vinyl versions released as well. But so far there sadly hasn't been any news about releasing those so I'm not expecting anything.

They brought in Jake Scott to revisit the material and cut it into a concert doc that can play to broad audiences in 2021. It's all very Oasis -- it's big and it's quality. It doesn't mean anything in particular in regards to how it will be cut. Scott already said it isn't going to be a bunch of talking heads and I would take him at his word. They have tons of archival footage, though, so they'll probably play around with some behind-the-scenes stuff and some fan interaction stuff. Hard to believe any fan wouldn't want to see what they have. |

Two days ago people were worried that they were going to dump a crappy transfer of Oasis fans on trains onto a budget DVD and now that there's going to be a big, gorgeous, pristine cinema release from a pro director intended to recreate this once-in-a-lifetime experience ... ehhhh ... people still aren't happy hahaha! |

Because most people want the gig, not a documentary about it It would be pretty daft to release a documentary about a monumental gig and not actually release the gig tbh Nah, truthfully, most people (who are not Oasis purists) just want to go see a cool movie that tries to recreate the fun, energy and music of being at the Knebworth show(s) with all the best angles, unseen moments and footage available. Not sure people here really get what it is that they are doing ... but anyway, I'd say patience. There's a good chance you might be happier than you think. And even if you're not, they really are trying to give a wider audience something more special than merely what was shot in 1996 in raw form. |
