The S*n's talking about a reunion and/or a biopic again, but yeah Knebworth was my first thought

Kosmic Kyte sounds like the title of a Paul Weller album ...
But, yeah, all this means so far is that they created a structure to share the profits of some motion picture project, which could well be the expected Knebworth doc/concert film or another Oasis-related doc. The fact that the entity is being headed by Alec McKinlay of Ignition adds to that impression.

I guess "cosmic kite" was a nickname for Maradona (from the quote when he made his famous World Cup goal against England in the QF, "Cosmic kite, which planet do you come from that you can leave so many Englishman in your wake?"), which some folks here probably already knew.

Once you start digging around on there all sorts of interesting information available to see. The financial figures for year ends including major touring years for the band, the fact Liam is still a director for Big Brother Recordings. Dissolution of Definitely Maybe Touring Ltd

I've seen comments saying that companies like this are started because of tax reasons. But hopefully they'll actually make something with it that we fans can enjoy.

Well I don't think those tax reasons would be useful of they didn't make anything with the company Most countries have tax rebates for film production as an incentive to film (and spend money) locally. A quick google search shows that the UK does have such credits (http://britishfilmcommission.org.uk/plan-your-production/tax-reliefs/) and you would need to be a "film production company" to be able to apply for them. My guess is that this is simply to provide them with this if/when they produce something. It may mean that they are working on something or it may just be to get it established now if they decide to do something in the future, as I'm sure that there is a time test involved as well.

I've just read about this on Stop Crying Your Heart Out maybe they're planning another Oasis film in the future who knows? But it's interesting that both Noel and Liam now are the directors of this company. I personally would like another Oasis film but this time telling the complete story of the band and what's happened since the split. Also, a few gig releases would be great.

They created it to handle the financials of some project -- but what it is for sure and when it might happen are entirely other questions. Still think Knebworth-related is a reasonable bet (Liam playing coy aside ...) given the timing. But if it's something in development it could be years to never before anyone hears more ...

It’s 100% Knebworth related. The Oasis social media posts a few weeks back all but confirm it. It’s not new Oasis material or reunion. I wanna be clear about that.

This is still their pinned tweet: I really hope they’ve sorted out the rights issue with Guigsy etc. It would be ridiculous for the rest of the band to be airbrushed out like in Supersonic! Also, I really hope they release the documentary that was filmed along with the gig itself. That sounded amazing. X
