I think if the song was recorded properly in the Oasis days with Liam on vocals it would've sounded much better.

Honestly my biggest issue with it was the cheesy lyrics, in the chorus in particular. If Liam released something like that he'd be mocked to buggery for creating Little James Mk II

As I suggested a few pages back - could this song be 'Don't Be Down'? The lyrics can certainly be interpreted as being directed towards a child. It's written in the B to A tuning which Noel was mad on around the time 'Don't Be Down' was mentioed (SCYHO demo, STC, IWLIADIMRM, LDSMD). Could be wrong but it makes some sense.

I haven't listened to this song since it was released last year. Same more or less to be honest It's alright but I can see why Noel didn't bother with it in the end Wouldn't have minded it as a b-side and I'm glad we got it, but nothing more than that

“Lazy days and sunny rays will guide me Back home to where I belong If God gives me grace, then He will find me a space And I hope I'll be singing this song.”
I don’t really mind the song at all but I really like this verse so I listen to it from time to time. What I, once again, don’t understand is why it wasn’t released as a B-side to any of the DOYS singles. Surely, it wouldn’t have taken much more time to record this than to fuck about with the remixes and remixers. Also, if Sitting Here In Silence On My Own, which for me is kind of a sister song to this, was a B-side, this could’ve been one as well.

It's ok but it's certainly not a song that I would go back to on a regular basis even if it was put out in his Oasis days. But like you say it's b.side material.

Such a disappointment this.
But we just got two excellent NG songs literally out of fucking nowhere. I take.

It's the kind of song that needs to be hidden behind a lot of beeps and bops. Like Let Forever Be.

It's a demo, was something nice to put out, like We're Gonna Get There In The End.
Don't listen to it much either, but I mean, we got the Blue Moon Rising EP, the Acoustic Sessions, Unplugged, All You're Dreaming Of, and now the Best of with the new singles, remixes, and live takes, before that the two collaborations. And, we're getting Knebworth in a bit.
Probably would feel the same about Record Machine, Stop The Clocks, and Revolution Song nowadays.

I personally love this song so much, its not one you can loop forever but the words mean a lot to me.
The soundcheck versions also nice.

Let Forever Be is a great song. Preach! It's a great production. The song itself is weak as F. compared to say Settin Sun, which is perfect, both sides.

Let Forever Be is a great song. Preach! Actually I much prefer this song to Setting Sun which I've never really liked or cared for. And, it's certainly not a song which i ever listen to. But I've always enjoyed Let Forever Be and I have the CD single somewhere.

The acoustic version is also phenomenal.

As for the acoustic version of Setting Sun well, I've never listened to it but that's probably because I've never liked the original.

Setting Sun was such a slap in the face in 96. Like, Noel's gone mad or something.
I remember playing that song to death, listening to it on the radio. It was the first Heavy / whatever / different track for me that opened to a lot of other things.
Like Tiger40, i never care to the rest of the Chems bros catalog, which is ok but most of the time a bit boring. Some good sound ideas.
Let Forever Be is another collab thing, at least for me. I enjoy it, nothing more.
