Done a quick cover of it for anyone interested. Exquisite, as always.

What are the odds we get another Best Of album in November and Don't Stop is on it as a deluxe edition bonus track? We are definitely due another Best Of album at some point as the song selection on Stop The Clocks is pretty daft. Only 9 songs per disc and only FOUR SONGS POST 1995?! Insane. We've already got a Best Of and a Singles Compilation, so maybe a Greatest Hits is in order? All the number 1s and number 2s, maybe extend it to number 3s as well if they need to make up the numbers

Great point. I didn't notice this one and STC were in EADGAe until now. The open A string ringing makes a difference. Noel absolutely buzzes off this tuning. Lyla, Beautiful World, I'm sure there's a few more too. Think Chris Martin also uses it on 'Orphans' - albeit he plays it up on the 773rd fret because he's a meff So many others: Turn Up The Sun Shock Of The Lightning Mucky Fingers Stop Crying Your Heart Out (Demo) Bring It On Down (Live 2003-6) Rock N Roll Star (live post 2000) Record Machine Stop The Clocks There are others... but can’t think of them!

You know, for how unremarkable Don’t Stop’s chorus is, it’s fucking stuck in my head. Noel, you’ve done it again!

I think it's because they use the same chords (in a different order though) and they're both in EADGAe tuning. That tuning has a particular "ring" (don't know how to describe it). Stop The Clocks is another example. What chords d'you reckon in this tuning, mate? I've played Record Machine mainly in standard before, and whenever I've tried to figure out this based on the soundcheck version, I've not thought to change the tuning (until hearing the demo the other day) - so have just gone G (without the top e), Dsus2 (or whatever it's called - the one without the top e) and A, with an E in the middle 8. One thing I forgot to mention. Im pretty sure the RM demo is in EADGAe but Noel plays it live with the HFB in standard. HFB version in standard: Capo 1st, A (x02200) G (xx5430) Dsomething (xx4030) For Don't Stop I use: G (320000) D (xx0200) A (x02200) Then a regular E in the middle 8 as you said (022100)

Please, I don't want Oasis to become one of those bands like Aerosmith that have released more best ofs/greatest hits than original albums. "Re-issue! Re-package! Re-package! Re-evaluate the songs Double-pack with a photograph Extra track and a tacky badge" "Stop the clocks"'s song selection is indeed dull, just buy DM & WTSMG instead; for a more comprehensive overview of Oasis' full carreer you have "Time flies" which is a great "The masterplan" also is, & if you want more than that then just go listen to the albums, there aren't that many!

Agreed. I would very much rather have them go down the Pearl Jam official "bootlegs" route and release some of the more famous concerts officially with behind the scenes information and stories about the lead-up to those seminal concerts.

The Crimson Rambler is The Dentist the same as the song Noel mentioned that sounded like Heroin that he and Holmes recorded after Lou Reed's death or something different entirely?

Unfortunately I'm terribly lazy at jotting down this information and I simply made a note of the title and not what Noel said and where he said it. Sorry! I recall a story about Lou Reed dying whilst they were recording 'Who Built the Moon?' but whether it's related to 'The Dentist' I don't know. I've speculated that the song may have turned into 'Evil Flower' due to the dentist drill like sound you hear going off throughout it but who knows? I think Noel did say he finished some WBTM? stuff off for the EP's ('This is the Place' being one of them) so maybe this was another. Maybe someone can try put the question to Matt Morgan to ask Noel at some point.

In the same way that 'Can You Keep a Secret?' had been the working title for Keep on Reaching (EDIT: Mixed it up with Be Careful...). Anyway, since I'm just as lazy as you in terms of putting down actual sources in my notes, I can't really give any proof. All I can remember is an online printed interview where he was asked if any of the WBTM tracks had any alternate/working titles and that was his answer. Will try to look it up tomorrow. I'm pretty sure however. The Crimson Rambler By the way, please keep up posting and researching Oasis' lost songs history. Your work and input is unique and incredibly valuable to the Oasis community! I wish I was able to contribute more but life somehow overtook me in recent times.

Ah that's a great piece of information, nice one! If you find the source please do post it and I'll scratch that 'unreleased track' off the list. And thanks. I drift in and out of researching but I'll try to put it all together one day and upload it here. There's still quite a lot to do as I want to be as thorough as possible and not exclude anything which is difficult when Noel has 2 notebook filled with 50-100 unreleased songs in them. One day maybe!

Awesome. Any idea if that's from Andy Bell's radio show last year? If so I'll give the relevant bit a listen tomorrow.

There doesn't seem to be a lossless version to buy of it anywhere? Has anyone found one? Not Qobuz pal? There doesn't seem to be a lossless version to buy of it anywhere? Has anyone found one? Yes it's available on Qobuz in FLAC Dang, there's quite a few tracks I've been looking for lossless versions of on that site, but it won't accept my New Zealand credit card. Don't spose anybody could help out and I'll paypal you the money?

It's from a radio podcast with Andy and Gem (they're the two voices that can be heard laughing at the start and making comments at the end). I think it was indeed Andy's own podcast from around a year ago but I'm not sure.
