Anyone else thought the "don't stop your clapping" part is the reason he's done this? I may be and probably am wrong on this bit considering what is happening right now that line stands out.

Also the all part: Don't stop being happy Don't stop your clapping Don't stop your laughing Take a piece of life, it's alright To hold back the night Yeah I think the song fits the moment very well.

Awesome. Any idea if that's from Andy Bell's radio show last year? If so I'll give the relevant bit a listen tomorrow. It's from a radio podcast with Andy and Gem (they're the two voices that can be heard laughing at the start and making comments at the end). I think it was indeed Andy's own podcast from around a year ago but I'm not sure. Ok just looked into it. It's from Andy Bell's weekly radio show 'Resonance' on Boogaloo radio. According to Andy it's an unreleased, untitled song of his he worked on in some studio (he says where but I can't discern what he's saying) to which Gem visited and contributed guitar. Gem says he calls it 'The Tile Yardies' and Andy agrees that's what it should be named. It can be listened to HERE around 1h 38m in. Unless more information comes to light I personally think it should be considered an Andy Bell solo oddity like 'Grapefruit' from 2009. We don't have any dates or anything strictly tying it to Oasis. Regardless it's a cool listen so thanks for bringing it to our attention fabulousbakers

The Dentist was an early title for Black and White Sunshine. In the same way that 'Can You Keep a Secret?' had been the working title for Be Careful What You Wish For. Anyway, since I'm just as lazy as you in terms of putting down actual sources in my notes, I can't really give any proof. All I can remember is an online printed interview where he was asked if any of the WBTM tracks had any alternate/working titles and that was his answer. Will try to look it up tomorrow. I'm pretty sure however. The Crimson Rambler By the way, please keep up posting and researching Oasis' lost songs history. Your work and input is unique and incredibly valuable to the Oasis community! I wish I was able to contribute more but life somehow overtook me in recent times. Ah that's a great piece of information, nice one! If you find the source please do post it and I'll scratch that 'unreleased track' off the list. And thanks. I drift in and out of researching but I'll try to put it all together one day and upload it here. There's still quite a lot to do as I want to be as thorough as possible and not exclude anything which is difficult when Noel has 2 notebook filled with 50-100 unreleased songs in them. One day maybe! The Crimson Rambler Looking forward to the 'compendium' once it's finished. I know there's other people out there trying to compile a detailed recording sessions guide for years. But as you say, you drift in and out and mostly life just gets in the way. Anyway, had a look into my, well, 'notes' and apparently it was during a Radio X album playback, back when WBTM was released, that Noel mentioned the Dentist bit. mossy had originally pointed it out in the corresponding thread: live4ever.proboards.com/post/1479047/thread

So many others: Turn Up The Sun Shock Of The Lightning Mucky Fingers Stop Crying Your Heart Out (Demo) Bring It On Down (Live 2003-6) Rock N Roll Star (live post 2000) Record Machine Stop The Clocks There are others... but can’t think of them! I'd add Simple Game of Genius, and I think that's about it. Alone On The Rope is another

Just listened to Strawberry Fields Noel played in Japan with Terry & Gem. "don't stop" sounds just like this line up. With only added one little overdub.

I have to say the first time I found it kinda boring, but it’s really growing on me. There’s that typical NG love for a good melody that in his last album and in all the EPs he put out is only in Dead in the Water.

To me, this is much better than Come On Outside, two old tracks from same era. I never got the appeal of Come on Outside but this is a really nice song.

A few thoughts from listening this morning:
It sounds largely like a live recording (with a few overdubs - the tambourine and a bit of lead guitar): The vocals are a bit echo-y and there are no backing vocals, the lead guitar is little a bit rough and semi-improvised (see the repeat of the Dig A Pony riff right at the end as it fades out), the bongos are fairly tentative. Certainly lacks the studio polish of demos such as Stop The Clocks, Record Machine, She Must Be One Of Us. Sounds a bit like the infamous Zanzibar / Stop The Clocks gig. Could the bulk of it have been recorded during a rehearsal for that gig or even at the soundcheck and then overdubs added later? How many other gigs used bongos? I think the Stop The Clocks tours was a single snare?
Could this song be Don't Be Down? Listen to the lyrics and think about them being directed to Anais. "Bye bye my family" ("friend" in this version to make it a bit less personal), Noel's leaving to go on tour ("To feast on the stars"), "Don't stop being happy, don't stop clapping / laughing". This would fit the time-line of the Zanzibar gig as well. They could have been trying out Noel's new songs (this and Stop The Clocks)?
This is just pure speculation - could be completely wrong - but that's just what I thought when I listened to it properly.

Record machine and STC from DBtT era are likely not demos but one of the many versions Oasis has recorded for release during Wheeler end sessions with Noel producing. That’s why they sound finished. Lyla is also the » demo » reworked just like Mucky Fingers and TIObI. That’s already a 1/3 of the record. Dont stop sounds a like studio demo, one take, but definitely not a live or soundcheck recording because its timing is perfect so recorded to a click track. The guitars also sound very close to the songs mentionned above. Noel had a lot of free time and a studio back then so there is probably many more tunes like this one.

It's at number 52 in the single chart update totdat, but it's streams are rapidly declining, so if we want to see oasis on the singles top 100 on Frida, everyone has got to do their best through iTunes or streaming.

Late to the party then I actually took time to read this whole thread! Some really interesting stuff and this song has brought some old school members and information to light again.
My opinion on the song is that it reminds me a bit of with a little help from my friends and the lyrics are very apt for our current crisis situation. Defo B-side material though.
Great to see this is released by "Oasis" I hope Noel finds and releases some more!
Keep. The. Faith.
