Nope... this song does nothing for me, as it was the case with Stop The Clocks and Record Machine when they leaked and were released on Noel's first record.

Been listening to this song regularly for the past few weeks, doesn't really do anything for me either. It's OK, but really forgettable, a bit like the two unreleased demos on the BHN reissue.
Maybe a full production would make some qualities stand out though, as I usually enjoy stripped back versions much more after I know the fully-produced song than the other way around.
Still, I'm up for Noel releasing more archive material!

More Oasis demos please Noel. OT but Guigsy absolutely looks drunk/high off his ass in that clip

Listened to it once more... I’d prefer one of their early days demos to be released officially instead of that one (but not abysmal Life In Vain). Even SR ripoff songs sound more interesting. Kinda wasted that “new oasis song in more than 10 years omg” hype

Releasing the proper studio version he recorded with Sardy would be more than welcome

Let's start a petition to Oasis on social media for a release of a Liam sung demo from 93-97. Proper release, it's sure to get to No.1.
I'm all for that.

I didnt see it at first, but this song is quite fitting to play at a funeral. Low-key, but optimistic lyrics about leaving for the sky and knowing God finds you a space up there.
Like i say, it didn’t click at first. But then my gran passed a few days back and I’ve been deciding what to play at her service. I ultimately decided on music she liked, but i did think about Oasis briefly as she’s Manc (she knew of the Gallaghers at one point in the early 60s as she lived in Longsight). I thought “she’d want us to stay happy”, and it brought the song into my head.

Do we know for certain that ANY Liam sung demos from the 93-97 period exist of songs that we haven't currently heard in any form? We know of plenty of unreleased songs because of Noels notebook, but I wonder if any were demoed with Liam on vocals. Lock All The Doors was a great surprise when it leaked, hopefully we have more surprises like that to come in the future.

Step Out for example, nobody knew Liam had demoed vocals for that song until the video of the recording was played at a talk last year, so I can imagine there are many more that we have never heard about.

I'm specifically talking about totally brand new unheard material with Liam on vocals. Even Lock All The Doors wasn't strictly totally brand new as the verses went on to be used on My Sister Lover.

We did know about this actually, if you look at the pictures on the Deluxe edition of Morning Glory there's a photograph of a tape labelled 'Step Out - Liam Vox'. That came out in 2014 so we've known about it for a few years now.

I haven't listened to this song since it was released. It's ok but it's certainly not a song that I would listen to on a regular basis.

I bet the studio version he recorded is miles better. The demo might be around 2005, while Noels voice sounded great around the 2009 era.. Im even liking the soundcheck more than the demo one

I don't mind this, it sounds like the early demo it is though I don't listen to it often but when I'm in a bit of a acoustic Noel mood it's there

I think if the song was recorded properly in the Oasis days with Liam on vocals it would've sounded much better.
