Sounds great. I assume the drummer makes up his own parts on songs, I know Noel can play drums a bit but Whitey would have been in charge of creating the drum parts for when he was in Oasis? Alan recently said on IG he came up with all the drums

Makes my day when I see a new video from him. My all time favourite drummer. Would love to have a pint with him.

Enough with the teasing, Alan. It's time to announce you and Bonehead are joining Liam's band.

Whitey responds to a few comments on each video, someone asked him about Guigs he responded "guigs is on top form 👍" What sort of comments does he usually answer to? Technical questions about his drumming technique or his drum kit, or does he also frequently answer Oasis-related questions such as this one about Guigsy ?

Wonder what’s happened with Alan?
What I mean is, when he left the band he just seemed to disappear and shun anything to do with Oasis. His brother’s comments on why/how he left made it seem he was quite bitter. Don’t blame him for that BTW if he was.
Part of my thinks when Noel played with The Who in 2000, that made him want to get Zak in the band and he just made whatever reason up eventually to sack Alan. Who knows.
Anyway, Alan playing again and making these vids and via these reaching out to Liam and Bonehead is fucking brilliant.
Who knows, maybe he’s realised life is too short after all the shit going on this year and just wants to build bridges again with the hope of playing together again(hiya Noel, hiya pal)? Or maybe he’s content and just happy to be playing drums again?
Whatever the reasons, it’s great to see these videos and shows what a brilliant drummer he is.

its kind of hard to go through the comments but heres a handful of replies from Whitey "What drum tracks are you most proud of Alan?" Whitey: Most of morning g. but also listen to one way road. great tune." "Weird question, did you change your right hand technique especially when playing the ride-as it seems to move around the cymbal rather than often hitting in the same place?" Whitey: it probably appears to move about a bit as I tend to have my hand a bit flatter now to overcome thumb strain. And I think the camera angles make it look likes it's a bit dancing a bit (picture is a Knebworth ticket) "They made you buy a ticket to your own show ?!" Whitey: yep. Paid double for it to sit on the drums! "Can you play shock of the lightning sir?" Whitey: I can. But I won't. Respect to the drummer. "Fancy becoming a high flying bird?" Whitey: quite happy being a low flying geezer "Did u use some sort of metronome or something in ur ears to keep tempos when u did gigs?" Whitey: no. No in ears, nothing, couldn't get on with them. "On the oasis tracks did Noel fully write the drum bits or just tell you roughly what he wanted?" Whitey: some stuff he had ideas. Most I would just get on with it and play what I thought best. "Your snare work separates you from the rest, what do you attribute that technique to?" Whitey: Its the moellor technique I was taught by the late great Bob Armstrong. Derrick

its kind of hard to go through the comments but heres a handful of replies from Whitey Thanks! Those were interesting indeed. I was actually asking you precisely because searching for Alan's comments below each video is like looking for a needle in a haystack, IG really needs the same feature Twitter has to display each user's posts & replies.

I would be wanting to re-home all those dogs but I'm not allowed dogs here. Rather than get those things that Alan has donated which I couldn't afford anyway.

I had always suspected that Whitey wrote most of his own drum parts.
Makes me laugh now to think Noel's supposed reasoning for kicking Tony out of the band was because he wouldn't have been able to play the songs off Morning Glory. Like, Noel already had that drum fill in DLBIA worked out and just had to find someone good enough to play it. Yeah right!
