Music isn't like sport, you aren't supposed to support your 'team' regardless of what they are producing. If you don't like his latest music then listen to the stuff you did like in the past or listen to different artists. Spot on. The fanboys will never understand... Noel fan boys/girls, Liam fan boys/girls, we're all more of less fan boys/girls anyway. The thing is, if you can deal with the criticism or not. No band/artist are perfect. Even if some musician make one of the greatest songs/albums, there's always someone who doesn't like it. If somebody doesn't like a song, jut let it go. I really love all The Reflex Revision they've done for Black Star Dancing and Keep on Reaching. Also Richard Norris' remix of Black & White Sunshine is fantastic. |

my biggest problem with the WBTM era is that the songs simply arnt that good, as Liam said, if you broke them down and played them on an acoustic guitar, they probably wouldnt be that good. Its not the sound or the style, its just this thing of writing in the studio I think that leaves them feeling like half baked ideas. ....unlike Liam's songs that are bonfire classics 😂 Did he really say that? tbf to him, he was simply comparing it to Noels songs of the past, not his own. |

I thought it was meant to be about being ‘real’..... Ironic how things have panned out for poor ol' Liam. He can carry on all he likes but he'll never be anything more than a hollow image now. What happened to those heady days of rebelling against the faceless pop machine churning out faceless hits? He essentially is "that fat singer from Oasis", singing songs that could have ended up on a Harry Styles album. |

Nothing on this EP really grabbed me as being special but they were enjoyable enough. I was happy to add the songs to my lengthy Oasis/Noel/Liam mega-playlist.
In a few months I know I'll have this playlist blasting out one day and one of those songs will come on and (divorced from the hype and expectations of the EP) I'll probably enjoy it just as much as most of the other songs on the playlist.
Looking forward to adding some more songs when the next EP comes out.

I think we also need to remember is this is an EP, you likely aren't going to get an album quality list of songs. That being said, this EP is absolutely fine for an EP. If these were the first 3 songs of LP 4, I'd be very meh on the overall outlook of the album. But we should be enjoying that he is giving us more music than expected.

I'm not the biggest fan of BSD and the two bsides are good for bsides, but it's better than waiting 4 years until David Holmes is available again. clock it ticking, Noel is getting older, so the more material the better. |
