He had planned to record an acoustic album at one point, so this makes perfect sense. It's nice to finally get some "info" on new material coming.

Well he said new single in may right ? So we could get the new album in september at the earliest. If it's still being recorded, May / june seeems a bit early for the LP release.
Glad Noel is moving things quickly lately. He knows the clock is ticking and he's not getting any younger. Maybe we'll get two albums in one year, who knows.

This new tour is already 20 gigs deep. You'd think Noel would want to be hawking a new product. I don't think this is 'technically' a new tour. Look at the CY tour. He took a big break from September 2015 to March 2016, with just the odd show in December 2015 (Radio X special, acoustic special for BBC etc). I think this is kind of the same deal... It's just that there might be some new stuff to come along with it (which makes a nice change for Noel!) |

The NME article on this says that he's recording in London & LA. And that it's gonna be an 11 piece band, as he's had on tour. Interesting to go with that line up but promote it as sit down shows. |

I know, its just the cynical tought I have with the Gallaghers after saying several times that an album would be quickly done and then 3 years happens and poof it goes into new project. |

It definitely feels like a time in Noel's life/career where he's actively wanting to get as much done as possible. For all his bravado in his youth, he probably knows that he needs to get as much done in these next 5 years as possible. He pulls off a 51-year-old frontman well, but it can't last for long haha. Hopefully we're at a new creative peak for him. The joy in WBTM suggests that could be the case. |

I have to say I look forward to this kind of tour and possibly an acoustic-based record more than another Holmes record. Largely because if he is sat down, he isn't doing his dance routine thing. |
