This is shaping up to be their strongest yet according to reviews. If I get something half as good as the previous album Nobody Wants To Be Here... then I’ll be estatic.

Looking forward to this. Have to wait until Saturday to listen but I’m a big fan of their last album - I’m going up for a week in Scotland soon too so this should only add to the vibes!

i'll get to hear in in a few hours... mimmi... how do you like it so far? I loved all the songs I've heard so far, a couple of songs as singles and one song live when I saw them in November. Their debut album and the last album were my most favourites, but this one is very special especillay for Sads. So many things happened after the last album - supporting The Cure on the globe and especially losing their (James) mate Scott. Also with a new drummer (an American guy). They're my most favourie (current) band. Happy lads who enjoy making miserable music. Great great great band. Only a couple of hours until I hold my copy of It Won/t Be Like This All The Time!matt, are you going to their instore session?

Shooting Dennis Hopper was my favorite as well- but there are no bad songs. Every one of them is great- and so well-placed in the tracklisting. the reviewers were not kidding about this album. all the hype is real mimmihopps!

Every song is on the right place from track 1. [10 Good Reasons For Modern Drugs] to track 11. Videograms. What I felt when the intro of Shooting Dennis Hopper Shooting kicked off is, something what I never felt before. My other favourites are The Arbor and Keep It All To Myself. Sunday Day13 is so beautiful and it brings me tear. I can't stop thinking of Scott (Hutchison) while listening to this song. You're right, the reviewers were not kidding about this album. They were right and Sad deserved. More I listen to this album, more I love this band, more than ever. Well done and I love you, Sads! Stunning album. 2019 is just started, but I have already my best album of 2019!

This album makes me cry, not because it makes me sad, but happy. A long waited 5th album after nearly 5 years, after so many things happened for band, I'm really happy for them and I'm happy myself.
Anyone who hasn't heard of The Twilight Sad yet, please give a listen to this or another songs/albums by them. and if you got a chance, go to see them. It will blow your mind, I can guarantee.
Happy to be Sad!

Unfortunately it's sold out, but you can still try if somebody sells his/her ticket. All the money goes to Scott Hutchison Funds to help the people with mental issue. thetwilightsad.com/tourdates/Scott, I'm sure you're enjoying this album up there too!

mimmihopps Yeah, I saw that. A rare tweet from Robert to mark the occasion. According to one of the guys in the band Robert e-mailed a screenshot of his receipt to prove he'd bought it, and said he would be listening to it later that day with a beer. He's obviously quite the fan. Did you hear about them sending their demos to Robert for feedback before they started recording? Pretty cool. It'll be amazing if they can chart anywhere near there--just making the top 10 would be a huge improvement on their previous chart positions. Fingers crossed for them.

It's pretty cool indeed. When The Cure asked the Sads to support them on their world tour in 2016 and the ticket for Amsterdam went on sale in November 2015, a year earlier, I bought my tickets on the day when they went on sale. The Cure were the band I definitely would have wanted to see once in my life time and Sads support them, it was like Christmas and New Year came at same time for me. I went to see Sads when they supported Editors in 2015, but I didn't see Editors at all as I only went to the venue to see the Sads. I wasn't bothered at all to see the main act, just like when I only went to see Noel when he supported U2 in 2017. Robert Smith covered "There's A Girl In The Corner" a couple of years ago, but I'm sure you've already heard it. I don't care for charts normally, but it's a great news for Sads that their new records got high chart position. They deserve it. Great great great band and top lads!
