Last night was one of the best gigs I've ever been to and one of the best Sad's gigs. It was the biggest sell out show Sads ever done outside UK. James thanked to audience again and again saying "thanks for coming to see us tonight". At one point he got so emotional and lost the word. He was standing on the stage just staring us while all of us were cheering to him. 4 new songs from their upcoming new album were played - I/M Not Here [Missing Face], The Arbor, VTr and Videograms. Seeing Sads for 6 times since 2009, it was the first time for me to hear The Wrong Car live. and "It Never Was The Same", my most favourite song from their last album was played live too. I sung along with "Keep Yourself Warm" and I cried. I saw Frightened Rabbit in the same venue 2 years ago. Scott, your music will live forever. After the gig I got this signed tour print: Great, great, great band. Thank you Sads for an another fantastic show. Never change!

New song The Arbor doesn't sound similar to other new songs. I thought they were covering some song first. James' comment on last night's gig:

It's incredible to see how James grew up as a great front man thorough the years. They gave us more than we asked for last Saturday. I'm still a happy sad. durk, here's The Wrong Car (not my video):

durk, here's a beautiful story called "A Day on the Road with The Twilight Sad" by a Dutch music web-zine. (sorry, all written in Dutch) and brilliant pictures in Amsterdam taken by a nice Scottish photographer. James' parents were at the gig as well. muzine.nl/artikel/een-dag-op-pad-met-the-twilight-sad

Love it! Thanks durk! I'm really really looking forward to their new album. It's only 5 weeks until it's out now. James promised to come back to Europe once the album is out. Hopefully they'll tour in the US again as well. I like Vic Galloway's show. My better half loves Andy's guitar work now.

Kathryn Joseph – From When I Wake The Want Is A beautiful record by a beautiful person. Everyone should know who Kathryn Joseph is.
Low – Double Negative One of my favourite bands release a beautiful but challenging LP. Music should challenge you. It’s a record that lives with you after you hear it for the first time.
Young Fathers – Cocoa Sugar One of the most important bands in the world today. I love everything about them.
Mogwai – Kin Mogwai are one of the most important bands in my life. Without them, my life wouldn’t be the same. “Donuts” & “We’re Not Done” are two of the best songs this year.
Michael Timmons – Bone Coloured A beautiful debut album by an Artist that is going to go on to do amazing things in his life musically & personally.
We Were Promised Jetpacks – The More I Sleep The Less I Dream One of the hardest working bands make their best album. Live, they are untouchable.
Mastersystem – Dance Music I was very proud of my friends. I could tell Scott had a lot of fun making this record. He was very proud of it and I will always be very proud of him.
Christine and The Queens – Chris A proper Pop Star. This record, her performance and everything she’s about is inspiring.
Aidan Moffatt & RM Hubbert – Here Lies The Body Aidan is one of my all time favourite lyricists and singers, RM Hubbert is one of my favourite musicians. Together they have made a masterpiece. I love them.
Mitski – Be The Cowboy I only discovered this record a few days ago. It’s already one of my favourite records this year. I can’t wait to see it performed live.Kathryn Joseph, Mastersystem and Mogwai's albums are definitely my favourites too. Michael Timmons who supported Sads on their recent tour has done a great job. Very talented young man.
