Looking forward to hearing remixes of this song. Tailor made for that. So stoked that I haven’t even thought about the remixes yet which is exciting in itself. They’re going to have so much fun with these songs, so much instrumentation to play about with.

Proper Stanley Donwood, those French lyrics.

This might be my favorite one so far. I think the album version will be awesome.

I gave it a 5, hoping the album version is better. I'm digging this much better than HM. I'm not sure about the "spoken lines" at the beginning and I'm not even going to mention the scissors and megaphone... absolutely ridiculous. However, I, immediately thought of U2's "beautiful day"... which is fine but don't call it "inventive and psychedelic"
And was hoping for a connection to the lyrics, very disappointed in the nonsense lyrics.

I gave it a 7 just because I'm giving it some room for growth when the album comes out. I think this is the best one yet, although I'm not crazy about some of his inflections, I think it could sound really cool with a little bit of an edge to his voice so it's not so clean. For some reason every time he sings the chorus it makes me laugh? I don't know why.

7/10. It'd be a by-the-numbers NGHFB song without the production dressing it up.

Sounds absolutely nothing like it! Only comparison is the word 'beautiful'!

I can hear some '90s U2 influences but I'll have to agree, it doesn't really remind me of Beautiful Day. Great song btw. The Edge's subtle riffs during the verses are amazing.

I said, it "reminded" me... not necessarily the sound and not just the word, "beautiful"... actually, nevermind Y'all know better than me, what I heard.. so therefore I'm completely wrong and you're both right.

Woah, that derailed a bit too quickly! I thought it was a completely normal exchange of opinions...? Nobody has said that you're deaf or an imbecile

Pop songwriting craft of the finest. A good number of excellent pop songs from that album too - which is strange considering U2 are pony at writing pop songs. Love how the beat box at the beginning synchronises perfectly with the shimmering keyboards too.

I listened to it once, it's alright....not sure I would've picked it for a single.
Not gonna listen to it anymore, wait 'til the album release.
Thanks.

i just bumped this up to an 8 for me- from my 7 initially. after a few more listens - at louder volume- this song also kicks ass. nevermind how psychedelic it is -or not- or groundbreaking or whatever. it's a damn fine song on its own merits. i feel this is going to be a great album- likely his best work out of the 3 solo records.

Loving it. Great rythm. Great melody. Great interlude. Excellent outro. The band are great. Really excited for the album. Really excited too see them on tour. You can actually hear the scissors on this one.

French members, did she say anything of importance? Anyway, this didn't work for me at all. But I've liked 50% of what I've heard so far, so I guess things could be worse. Here is what she says : "Ladies and gentleman, sit tight and say goodbye. Humanity is melting down. Borders are closing. Inhale, exhale. Relax, rest in peace, it's just the end of the world". That's going on my tombstone.

7/10 - definitely my favourite so far but even then I'm still not overly impressed.

Nice one - 7 for me. Beautiful World is a tune. Best of the bunch so far. Still can't hear the scissors in the mix though. And to be fair I had no idea what a multi-instrumentalist she is...tin whistle, scissors and now megaphone. Oh yes and a multi-linguist. Great bass line - good backing vocals from him as well(something Liam's band is sorely missing) Chris Sharrock is still my favorite Gallagher drummer. He was mega on the last tour w/ Oasis. And Gem!
And before anyone goes on about scissor girl - if Liam - or Noel - had a pink elephant on stage with him, I'd mention that too. Cheers

Still can't hear the scissors in the mix though. Just around the 1:20 mark, when she's in frame, you can hear something that sounds like someone snapping their fingers. Again around 1:44 Cheers ✂️

On a related note, how guilty should I feel for really quite enjoying this tune?

Didn't do anything for me but, as with She Taught Me To Fly, there's enough in it between the preview and that live version for me to think I'll enjoy the album version.

It's better than the overrated TBOTMI. Not too fond of scissor girl's French announcement.....although it does make me think of caro (even more than I already do, luv).
