I’m really looking forward to when the album drops. I can’t wait to read the posts. People are gonna lose their shit based on the Holy Mountain which is straight forward. Get the popcorn.

I'd be really interested in the results if we ran this poll in a year's time. Hilarious how you see music critics - often the scourge of Oasis fans - throwing out 8s and 9s out of 10s for the song, while this forum massively underrates it! It's supposed to be the other way around. I have to say this time though, the critics have it spot on, and the forum has woefully misinterpreted it. This is what it would be like on the Coldplay forum if they released something interesting again and offended their teeny bopper fans. Totally. This is a 10/10 bona fide classic song, up there with the best tracks Noel has ever done, and I am just not understanding why it is getting so much hate - particularly from fans on here who love Oasis and NG as much as I do. Are they hearing the same song? Or are they Liam fanboys? Or do they not like fast, upbeat Noel BHN-type tracks, and instead prefer another fucking slow ballad? I'm really baffled by this, particularly when the critics too are also recognising what a great track this is, yet Oasis fans on a forum are not recognising it. Strange days indeed... |

It would be intresting to see a poll for us who don't like the track, as to why we don't like it. Most people who like it seem to believe it is because Holy Mountain is so experimental and toootally different from anything we've heard from Noel before, which have made our brains melt collectively. I, on the other hand, dislike it because to me it's just another one of those uninspired Noel tracks with some flutes on top of it to pass it off as new and intresting. I really liked it when I first heard it and my fondness for the song has only grown over the last couple of years. On the couple of occasions I went to see Noel in the last year, I was actually more excited to hear him play this than I was the Oasis hits. If Don't Look Back In Anger is a 10 on the Noel scale, then this is a 9 for me.
