How was it, @id1edreamer? You at least got your money's worth... it was... 'wicked awesome' !! what a setlist... and a great crowd as well. he was so full of energy all night, he looked and sounded razor sharp, very fit! and his band is FANTASTIC. the only difference i can spot in the setlist you posted above and what was actually played is in the third encore, for the final song he instead played 'town called malice' .... it brought the house down, the crowd went nuts!

Good stuff. What was your favourite tune they played? I'm glad to hear the crowd were into it. The two gigs I've been to of his, in the UK, the crowds have been very lukewarm. I suspect that's because many Brits have preconceived notions of who he is as an artist, from the fame he acquired in The Jam and in the 90s with Wild Wood and Stanley Road. It's a shame, because there's loads of good stuff around that to be enjoyed if only people could do away with their prejudices against certain genres/musical stylings.

'i'm where i should be', 'saturn's pattern', 'long long road', 'start!' were all fantastic ... and shout to the top was ACE. and of course, 'malice'. i was a little disappointed he didn't play 'you do something to me', but i guess that's the one downside of an artist changing up the setlist from night to night. there's always next time!

Miles Kane joined Weller on stage in LA. last week and sung "Hey Bulldog" with Weller and his band. I remember seeing Miles supporting Beady Eye in Paradiso in 2011. I was really impressed. He played Hey Bulldog at that gig too. I've seen him with Alex Turner as The Last Shadow Puppets in 2008 and I thought he was a talented young man. I saw him later again twice in 2010 and 2011, but now he lost himself in deep sea...shame.

Weller's bassist Andy Crofts created this beautiful film with Weller's "She Moves With The Fayre" featuring Andy's daughter Luna.

I've been wondering about that song Gravity. He's been playing it at gigs as far back as 2013. Maybe he's had a Radiohead moment and they've suddenly worked out how to record it properly.

Quite the roster of names... Richard Hawley! Hope everything comes together. and a couple of songs with talented Erland Cooper as well! I'm really excited about this and hope he'll do an acoustic gigs again just like he did with Cradock in 2007. This man never bore me.

Every time I see a picture of Paul Weller he looks 10 years older than the last time. He’s like a beardless Gandalf the grey at this point.

Mr. Weller will be 60 this May, so I think he'll do something special this year.
