Meh. One cool riff by Squire, that's the one thing that stands out. Very underwhelming to say the least. It does sound a fucking lot like something that Andy would write. And no, I'm not talking about the Ride-era Andy Bell, I'm talking about the Andy Bell who wrote songs like Wind Up Dream and Kill for a Dream. Didn't Gem write Wind Up Dream?

Theres no two ways about it - this song is damn catchy, and was stuck in my head after a single listen, which at this stage of the comeback, is what they want.
The song is better than I expected it to be, and to my ears, Ian sounds pretty good, singing more like he did in Stone Roses than his solo stuff
Music and production is great, lyrics a little repetitive but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
Not sure I totally agree with the Beady Eye comments, I mean I see where people are coming from, but that sound and style isn't typical "Beady Eye", its one which you find in many popular bands songs..
Overall I'm pretty pleased and optimistic for the album, this shows they can still record a decent song and are all musically sound. But the Stone Roses marketing people are clever, the next song will be less catchy and more thought out. First you hook them with a safe, catchy song, then you show them the real stuff.

This was supposed to be the highlight of my evening. Instead, finding this Jim'll Paint It portrait will linger longer in the memories - Neil Buchanan going psychopathic making a big Art Attack of himself. I think you are taking this a bit hard Matt, I mean its not like Coldplay just shat a turd of an album out aswell...oh wait a minute. Its worse than that - this sounds like Kasabian's last album.

It's no surprise that Andy himself likes it

Kasabian's last album is nowhere near as bad as Coldplay's effort to kidnap the teenyboppers. You don't actually think it sounds like Kasabian's last album.

I never cared for the song so it's possible that I mixed things up and that Gem wrote it.

I also love the fact that people have found a new way to bash Beady Eye through a Stone Roses song after a couple of people on twitter said it . The sound is unmistakably Squire to me. Can't wait for Olly Murs to release his next plodding ballad so I can say how much it sounds like one of Noel's plodding ballads.

You don't actually think it sounds like Kasabian's last album. I think so - sounds like Chaz & Dave on ecstacy. That Eez-Eh song is on a par with this with the terrible lyrics. But at the end of the day it's a tallest dwarf competition - they're both shit albums.

Lyrics:
All for one, one for all If we all join hands, we'll make a wall
Inside of me, for all to see In harmony, all designed to be The mystery, all eyes can see Chemistry, all one family
All for one, one for all If we take a stand, we shall not fall

Meh, lame song, it's shit and sounds forced as hell, I was expecting a much better song from this legendary band, cool riff indeed.
Beady Eye b-side at best, even a Beady Eye b-side is better than this.
They were trying the same sound of some of their early songs like Sally Cinnamon, but I dunno if it's a good or a bad thing.

Great tune, I'm loving it. I don't understand the Beady Eye comparisons at all tbh? It's catchier than anything BE ever came out with, besides, it sounds nothing like them! Looking forward to hearing more from the Roses in the near future

No mark europop band feat. Chris Martin had nothing comparable.

"All for one, one for all" is the line from my all time favourite novel "Loneliness of The Long Distance Runner" by Alan Sillitoe. "All for one, one for all. United we stand, divided We fall". It's my most favourite novel since my teenage years and it never let me down.
Back to the topic, I've seen the Roses twice and I don't regret that I'm not going to see them again next month.

All for One is a bit like Iz Rite: catchy but not in a good way...

To be fair, they're not the worst songs those but with the rest, likewise with this Roses tune, it seems a parody of their old material.

Looking forward to seeing them live next month even more now! Hoping we get some more new tracks between now and then.
I'm a bit let down by the artwork for this though, expected better from the legendary John Squire.

Olly Murs must have done something better than IIHAG and TDOTL. I still think they were written by the 'Noel Gallagher's Music Maker(TM)

If the majority of the album is good it won't seem so bad. I don't think its a parody either, the lyrics are no where near as good as some of there previous stuff so are we basing this on Squire's jangly guitar? Because production wise I don't think its similar at all.
