A simple question...

No. I just don't. I like the guys in the band but I just don't like their songs, with the exception of a handful of songs that I still listen to.

I like a few songs....I just find most of their hardcore fan base insufferable.
Thanks.

DGSS left me underwhelmed, but BE was a huge step forward from every point of view. What still lacked in the songwriting area was partially compensated by Sitek's great work, by Liam's vocals and by the fine girl on the artwork (just joking ) So I guess the answer is a "yes", or better a "yes, but..." I still listen to many BE songs regularly, but I skip nearly every track from DGSS when they come up in a random playlist. It's a shame that they split up... I was really looking forward to their third album, as BE was a pleasant surprise and it summed up the direction they should have taken from the beginning (instead of revisiting that stale, uninspired '60s sound with DGSS)

They weren't the greatest band of all time, but I really do like a lot of aspects about the band. Liam's voice, the guitar work, the drumming, and a lot of the gigs seemed really good. I like BE the album a lot and I think an adjustment to the tracklisting would've been really beneficial for them.

Yes, love them. Present tense, because the music is still there.

I feel like an anomaly in the Beady Eye fanbase - I get the feeling that anybody else with my level of loyalty to them has a wardrobe full of Pretty Green "clobber" and an "at least you tried" Liam haircut. Neither of which I have.

First album, hit and miss. Second album, best thing post-Oasis for me and they were great live.
I really liked them and after BE I was looking forward to their next step but it wasn't to be.
Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for them all.

This is the best thread in the last 5 years.
I'm not a big fan of DGSS obviously but BE was a great step forward in creativity. So much has been said and posted about Beady Eye here so there isn't much for me to say besides it was a great effort and a huge disappointment that they split. Really wanted to hear a 3rd album from them.

I will say this about the fanboys: there are fanboys everywhere that act the exact same, even in Noel's camp. But I will spare this thread from that discussion.

Different Gear, Still Speeding I picked up retrospectively as I wasn't madferit in 2011. I think it's definitely the weakest of all the Gallagher albums although there are a few songs which I really like:
Four Letter Word The Roller Bring The Light The Beat Goes On
I know a couple of those are often slated on this forum but there you go. Other songs on the album which I do like but don't really listen to that often are Beatles and Stones and For Anyone. The rest I could live without.
By the time BE came out I was right into Oasis and was really excited for my first new release. When Flick Of The Finger came out I was hugely impressed. It's still my favourite Beady Eye song and signalled their new sonic direction.
As well as the production, the songs on BE were a step up. The record overall is incredibly warm and innocent sounding which really adds somewhat of a special feel to it. There's something to like about every song on it even if a few of them are a bit half-baked.
Flick Of The Finger Soul Love Iz Rite Ballroom Figured Start Anew The World's Not Set In Stone Back After The Break Off At The Next Exit Evil Eye
...are all songs that I listen to regularly. The outro on Don't Brother Me is sonically fascinating as well. I've listened to this album through a fair few times and it still sounds good to me. I just wish they'd got the European/UK track listing right. Far too many good songs spunked away as bonus tracks.
Beady Eye are often ridiculed for their lyrics. I wouldn't necessarily agree with that, but I can forgive shit lyrics if the melody and feel of the song is there, which is often the case.
That's why I voted 'yes'.

I like them. I wonder if they have fans who aren't fan of Oasis Probably not. That wasn't their biggest problem though. Their biggest problem was that a large part of Oasis fans didn't (and don't) like them...

Iz Rite sounds like it was written in 1965 but didn't quite make it onto Help! Either way, I like both of them.

Loved em. Especially the lead up to BE and post BE.
Really great album IMO and loved the acoustic gigs. Fortunate enough to go to the Kingston one and full band Hammersmith was my best gig in a long time

In the last tour with the brass section in the song it was class. Anybody can slate the lyrics from LAG but when its noel its different eh?
