I went with "Yes", but I wish there was a "Maybe" or "Sometimes" option.
I hardly ever go out of my way to listen to their tunes, but when I do I actually like them. Little bit odd, that.
Honestly, if it wasn't Liam and the Oasis connection, I probably wouldn't have even bothered. I reckon that's the case for most here, actually.

Loved them. I love everything Liam does. Would even go a gig where he would be onstage without any music just him and his stillisism.
Shame they ended like they did, just hope guys are on good terms and yeah BE is as good as anything Noel has done post Oasis if not better

No, the band was pretty mediocre. Gave both albums a try but neither ever really did anything for me. There's a couple songs on each album that are passable but I never have the urge to say "I wanna listen to Beady Eye." That literally has never happened in five years. I don't even have them on my itunes anymore. If they came around to my city for I live date I would go cause I think they have the ability to be a good live band but on record and overall they just didn't do it for me.

First album - band on autopilot. Nothing interesting, bland dated sounding production. No real 'killer tune'. Four Letter Word the only song really up there with Oasis.
Second album - A step in the right direction, when they really needed a huge leap. Decent production with lots of risks taken which I think was the right idea, Sitek did a good job of making them sound different. One really good song in Flick Of The Finger and a few other good ones but also some truly dreadful ones I.e. Don't Brother Me. Album massively letdown by single choices and poor promotion.

I don't really like BDI considering that they were just delivering a WHOLE ALBUM of either bad or meh LAG songs. But they shine enough for me to note their existence: FLW and FOTF are amazing tunes, but honestly, that's just about it. All others sound really like 00's Oasis album filler.

A decent indie band, a poor follow up to Oasis.

I liked them. I don't think they were ever destined to reinvent the wheel or produce anything innovative or creative but they had a good number of decent, listenable songs and were good live. They also had quite a lot of dross but that's par for the course for what they were. They had enough to keep me going back and to justify seeing them live and that's enough for me, and a lot more than a lot of bigger, more successful bands have

If they hadnt been in Oasis before, i'd still listen to the records as much as i do now, which is sometimes but not often.
So i guess that's a yes.

We need Liam back on that stage as soon as possible, there's nothing quite like going to see him live, it's a unique feeling, even though he does basically nothing your eyes are glued to him, there's no other front man that has that presence.

Not really, no. They were definitely lacking in the songwriting department.

They were okay. If Liam's voice was still 90's-level, the songwriting quality would be less of an issue. BE is still a good album though... If DGSS hadn't been released, they'd probably still be around and more of a success than they were.

Yes. They were great live.
DGSS has it's moments and overall it was OK for a debut album. BE is very good in my opinion. They really put the proverbial cock on the block for that one and tried something a bit different. By far the most innovative post Oasis release. I was looking forward to where they were going to go with a 3rd album.

I am probably the only one on here who loves DGSS lol I maybe don't love it, but I like it very, very much. For me, BE has the unfair advantage that I started to get into his whole Gallagherism just a few months before it came out, so it's combined with some lovely memories of being totally out of my mind about all things Gallagher for at least a year and at the same time being able to enjoy the buzz of the unveiling of a new album part by part, crowned by seeing them live.

If you compare them to Oasis they're not great, but if you compare them to what else is out there I think you get a different view.
They were always up against it. They had good songs but not a lot of great ones. The public at large HATES Liam. Liam's voice was shot to bits. The media at large loves Noel. They refused to play Oasis songs. Gem kept fucking hurting himself.
I saw them live 3 times and all were good experiences. I enjoy both albums (mostly more than I do the horribly produced NGHFB). They will go down as a pretty huge failure but I'm grateful for what they gave me.

I thought their best song was Sons of the Stage, and thats a cover. Pretty much all you need to know about how I feel about Beady Eye's songwriting.

They have a good few tunes I really like listening to, in that regards, I like them. But I admit I don't own BE, listened to it online and it was very hit and miss for me, mainly the derivative tunes ruined it but a few tunes where they tried things different are still given regular spins by myself.
They just needed to desperately get with the times, and while they dipped their toes into something interesting for BE, they never made that leap of faith into the 21st century I wanted them to. BE - on the scale of things - is not that experimental at all, and is very much the opposite.
It's something I criticise Noel for too - the safest tunes on Chasing Yesterday are by far the worst for me. Both the Gallaghers could get away with it in the 90s because the songs were absolutely superb and the production - for all its rawness - was the RIGHT sound for them. These days, when they plug in just the usual basic guitars, bass and drums, it sounds tired and lacks energy all round.
So I never understand why artists attempt to reach for past glories when it is seemingly impossible, so the real lack of anything different is puzzling to say the least.

I've listened to both albums many, many times.
1.) I actually think the first one is better. 2.) The second one showcases Liam's true voice with no effects. I do not like what I hear 3.) The band as a whole had a handful of ok songs, many forgettable, and some cringe worthy 4.) Their "sound" was great. They took more chances than Noel does
