Finally caught up with this season. For the record, Tennant is still my favourite Doctor I hate spoilers and I try not to read what's coming ahead, so this is just my speculation. They're killing Clara off, right? They keep throwing hints and suggesting it over and over in every episode

They're killing Clara off, right? They keep throwing hints and suggesting it over and over in every episode Jenna Louise Coleman is leaving at the end of this season, but it's unknown what Clara's fate will be. Of course, her death has been heavily foreshadowed and I personally like the theory that she's already dead but The Doctor has gone back in time to when she was alive because he can't bear losing her. Personally I always hated Clara so I don't particularly care.

Yes! my exact same thoughts with the "Longest month of my life" line in the last episode.

Having thought about it for a few weeks, my favourite doctor is definitely Dick Van Dyke.

Capaldi's into punk, new wave, and David Bowie. Well of course he is. It seems I love the man more with each passing day.

I thought it was very good. A solid 7 or 8 out of 10. At least it made some fucking sense. Yeah, Mark Gatiss, I'm looking at you.

I thought that was a wonderful swan song for Clara, who I really liked as a companion. A million times better than last week's catastrophe.

I felt it was a bit meh. Rose's or Donna's goodbyes were better

Now that, kids, is why Steven Moffat is the best writer this show has ever had.

That episode was one of the best pieces of television drama I've ever seen.

Time to cobble together a top ten list. There's no point in even trying to put them in order!
Dalek The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances Bad Wolf/The Parting Of The Ways The Girl In The Fireplace Blink The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead Midnight Listen Heaven Sent
I may have cheated by putting two-parters together as one.

"You've got a time machine and I've got a gun, let's kill Hitler!"
One of the best lines ever.

Blink 2. The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances 3. Silence in the Library / Forest of the Dead 4. The Impossible Astronaut / Day of the Moon 5. The Day of the Doctor 6. Heaven Sent (Could end up higher or lower) 7. The Eleventh Hour 8. Listen 9. The Pandorica Opens / The Big Bang 10. The Girl in the Fireplace

"You've got a time machine and I've got a gun, let's kill Hitler!" One of the best lines ever. Not even the best in that episode ; "I was on my way to a gay gypsy bar-mitzvah for the disabled when I thought to myself "Gosh, the third reichs a bit rubbish, I think I'll kill the fuehrer". Who's with me?"

Heaven Sent was just fantastic, easily one of the best episodes. A genius concept brought to the screen with great visual flair, and Capaldi's performance was incredible.

Just read this on Neil Perryman's twitter - the lyrics to 'Sweet Bird of Truth' by The The include the line "Heaven sent, hell bent."

Here's a brilliant review of 'Heaven Sent', by Frank Collins for Frame Rated.

i can't believe tom baker isn't getting more love. man i used to watch all his episodes on PBS back when i was a kid. good times! Tom was amazing in the role - one of the most inspired bits of casting in TV history. Such a magnetic and charismatic presence on screen. I had grown up seeing the tail end of the original run on TV, so it was a joy to discover all the previous Doctors on video in the 90s.
