I loved it tbh, not one real bad tune on it, I can't get into It Might Be Time but the rest goes from enjoyable to great
That sequence from 4 to 8 is incredible, as is One More Hour, agreed with who said Glimmer should've been longer, I could picture myself dancing to it and I don't even like dancing
On Track and One More Hour are my faves, maybe they're not as iconic as Let It Happen was, but they're belters nonetheless

Good album, not great, not terrible. I really enjoy listening to this album but it's far from mastepiece.

Glimmer makes a lot of sense before One More Hour, something that needs more time to be full fledged but you can see kind of where it could go.

After a week or so now I’m still finding the new album a bit disappointing. Similar to Currents that there are some great highs (Is it True my favourite) but quite a lot of average tracks. Can’t understand how Patience didn’t make the cut.
Lonerism and the debut album are far more consistently great. Anyway still good to have the new material after so many years.

Nice And a drumless performance of Elephant, I would've picked One More Year instead, but it is a good choice(Is It True in the FIFA soundtrack). Also the band put out a 15 minutes vídeo on Youtube with footage of the sessions! I know it’s not cool to say anymore but I miss when Kevin was exploring every possible sound using his guitars. I feel like that instrument is never maxed out by bands anymore. It’s all about beats or some other hook. Guitars can be powerful. |
