It's a proper tune. Love the direction Kevin Parker is taking this project.

I like the song, but I just can't see why they made it 8 minutes long. The main riff is good and the melody is kind of catchy (I've only listened once and it got stuck in my head), but there's this middle part that is so repetitive...

Not in the slightest. Its fucking terrific. Forward thinking, progressive, chances taken. Its everything a next step should be.

This is really great. One of the best songs of 2015 thus far. I'm loving the direction that they're heading. Synth and guitar funk vibes fit them well (Daffodils). Innerspeaker was good, but I wouldn't say its great. It seems that since Lonerism they've just skipped the "great" level and they are just putting out outstanding work right now. Lonerism is pretty much a modern day classic.
This has me really excited for their next album. This is a sprawling, boarding on epic and still melodic/groovy. No one but Kevin Parker could pull this off.
Side Note: Obviously they are different but I feel that Tame Impala is the band that a lot of us hoped MGMT would become in time. Instead they became a wannabe Flaming Lips kitsch psychedelic band, given that they will have an occasional moment. Props to Parker, he is one of the best and most innovative songwriters/producers of his generation.

Really promising sign, this song. I've built a lot of faith in Kevin Parker, he has that innate sense of melody that I remember reading he picked up from his childhood obsession with the melodic sweet shop that is pop music.
Anyway, good sign of things to come.

Really digging it, kevin parker has said the new album is going to be more of a pop album than the other one's, i was a bit worried but if the new album is anything like this then ill be more than happy. Cant stop listening to it, love the pop hooks.

I think it sounds pretty good, seems like a natural progression from Lonerism.

There was a moment in 2008 when they could have taken their music to the next place. They were writing these awesome indie/psychedelic anthems. Then they went off the deep end and appear to be trying to be difficult for the sake of it. Their career did not go where I imagined they would be in 2015. Kevin Parker blows them out of the water.

If this is the Apocalypse Dreams of this album we're golden. I love that tune!!!! "Let It Happen" sounds like disco psychedelia.

I wonder when this album will drop. They've got a pretty full tour schedule from April to early June. Then nothing till Ssptember. Would probably be smart to have it out by May 1 to take advantage of all these US tour dates. Maybe even sooner than that.

Did anyone listen to their early unreleased tracks bootlegs? I honestly listen to them more (yes!) than their 2 LPs...
To me, Innerspeaker is better than Lonerism, the opening track is superb, draws you in instantly, and the flow is perfect, it's an album i listen from start to end frequently.
And this new song, well, let's see... I wouldn't mind more of the same if it's as good as their output so far... But parker already said their 3rd lp will be more electronic. I can't but trust this guy criteria, no matter what direction he takes. He has the right stuff. In my book he is the best songwriter with the best output right now...

I actually don't really like this one. If this album will be as good as Pond's one I'll be happy.

I hope they'll balance guitar and electronic like in Lonerism. But I think they'll release a proper electronic album.

Honestly I think this album is gonna be huge and hopefully really innovative. I'm really enjoying Let It Happen.
With Kendrick Lamar already releasing a bonafide innovative album I'm hoping that Kevin parker, Kanye, and Frank Ocean can all flow suit. Other bands will release albums this year that I'll (hopefully) love like Beach House, Best Coast, etc but I think the four I mentioned above have the artistry and fearlessness to create something that could be a landmark album for their respective genres.
