Anon info was fake. Rough Trade has the album for preorder, but you cant preorder it yet. Those LP look yummy The Slow Rush was recorded between Los Angeles and Parker’s studio in his hometown of Fremantle, Australia. The twelve tracks were recorded, produced and mixed by Parker. The Slow Rush is Parker’s deep dive into the oceans of time, conjuring the feeling of a lifetime in a lightning bolt, of major milestones whizzing by while you’re looking at your phone, it’s a paean to creation and destruction and the unending cycle of life. The album cover was created in collaboration with photographer Neil Krug and features a symbol of humanity all but swallowed whole by the surrounding environment, as though in the blink of an eye.

Lets get a release date, “new” single and tracklisting. I really hope it’s 13 brand new songs. Let Patience and Borderline be stand alones. I doubt it.

Album is 12 tracks. Borderline is on it. Patience isn’t. Damn. The stronger of those singles from last spring.

If you go to Amazon's "cd & vinyl" dept and search Tame Impala Slow Rush a couple special edition albums will be listed and under those most of the singles will appear but without titles. All of the untitled tracks show "available Feb 14" except track 4 which says "available Dec 3". If you click on it though, it says available Feb 14. Very, very suspicious and yet hopeful.

Fuck's sake this thread has been way too dead.
Anywho, I think this might newly released one might be my favorite of the new ones, right along with Patience and Posthumous Forgiveness. It's got that groove factor to it that makes a lot of Tame Impala songs good and pushes forward with the synthy-psych-pop sound of this era:

Its good and all but I'm not hearing anything earth shattering like last go around. Its very poppy and safe. I remember when "Let It Happen" dropped. It literally melted my MacBook Pro into gue. Granted the remaining album songs couple send me into the next stratosphere. We shall see in a month.

Granted the remaining album songs couple send me into the next stratosphere. We shall see in a month. I would agree. It's missing that edge factor to it but still pushes ahead with the synth-psychedelic pop style. I'm waiting for that "wow" track as well because these tracks have been pretty MOR compared to some of the highest of highs on Currents and even Lonerism, and is sliding back into the reverb-y psych sound of Innerspeaker but in a safer, cleaner way. I hope the remaining tracks have that "wow" factor to it or else the album is going to be easy to overlook.
