Joy Rose The same who did the backing on Let the Lord Shine a Light On Me Bless her, she has a gorgeous voice and it blends in so well with Noel's. She even looks pretty for fuck's sake She should be part of the band. Do we know if it's also her who sings on the other tracks (Riverman, The Mexican, Do The Damage...)? Spoke to her today She only did The Right Stuff As of half 3 today she had not heard the finished version!!! told her it was online

My definite favorite on the album. I was listening to Chasing Yesterday and honestly wasn't blown away by the first tracks, but then this came on and I just had to take a time to listen to it and suddenly raised the whole record to a new level. Amazing, groovy and laid-back. I had tried to avoid reading too much about the album and it pays off when you're pleasantly surprised like this.

Theres a woman singing on Riverman and Mexican? its a high pitched male vocal isn't it?

Noel often does his own backing vocals, he can sing pretty high. I do think that on The Mexican, it's a female voice though.

It sounds like a female voice to me, but we can't be sure until we hear the album in proper quality.

I expected the performers got to hear the final result every time.

I was convinced it was a woman on The Mexican

Any bets that this tune will be played over the PA right after the shows?
The one he used in the last tour was pretty good too. Can anyone remember which song it was?

To this day I'm still wondering if the pedal steel plays only during the intro and outro (where you can hear it) or during the whole song.

Was that sarcasm!? The AA have production co-credits so there'll definitely be some of their influence on the alBOOM! Do they? Ages ago (well back in Jan), before the NME interview Gaz posted on Facebook: "...time to tell my story methinks - co - produced MY ARSE !" So he has a co-producing credit on at least one track and this is likely to be it. We'll know 100% when the album comes out properly.

I was listening to Daft Punk's album and the beat in this reminds me of the right stuff

Or perhaps it's the breakbeat on Giorgio By Moroder...

Has a similar vibe to "Spooky" by Dusty Springfield for me.

Apparently The Right Stuff almost wasn't on the album... (still haven't heard it yet...)

Apparently The Right Stuff almost wasn't on the album... (still haven't heard it yet...) Well, he made the right decision in the end. I'm glad he confirmed he's going to play Do The Damage live too.
