Maybe @bonkersyesitsme could tell us who the fine girl is. Her backing vocals are brilliant Here she is during the recording of the Right Stuff: Joy Rose The same who did the backing on Let the Lord Shine a Light On Me

Struggling to get an idea of this song - which is great!
When people say Verve, is it Storm In Heaven Verve, Northern Soul Verve, Urban Hymns Verve or Forth Verve?

Cross the last 3 albums off your list. I love the vibe of the first Verve album - it's their most unique one, getting an idea of great atmosphere on The Right Stuff.

Nothing Noel or Oasis did before is quite like this, so it shouldn't be judged by the same standards. It's not even meant to be a transition track on the album, like High Horse Lady, this is much more. And it also flows quite well with TDOTL and the Eno intro of WTSRTS (sorry for using them, I don't like those acronyms either). Just listen to the rhythm section!!! Amazing. Everyone's expecting Noel's standard verse-bridge-chorus-bridge-chorus-solo approach but this works on a different level and succeeds. I keep thinking of Stereolab for some reason, one of the most underrated acts ever, probably a nonsense comparison but I'd never have thought to put them in the same context as Noel G. Now I really wanna know in how far the AA has influenced this track!

Class song. A type of song that you can hear in a good steak house or in a famous restaurant.

It has A A written all over it. It's the only explanation for Noel going from High Horse Lady to this.

I was worried that I wouldn't like this song when it was first described. But wow, it is amazing. There is no way in which it can be bettered, in my opinion. By that logic, it is perfect.

Still growing for me, but definitely a highlight and that "youuuuu and iiiiii got the .... Right stuff" is one of the catchiest moments on the album.

Nah, for me BOTMI is the perfect closer and I wouldn't want to touch to transition between that and You Know we Can't Go Back. I was worried putting The Dying of the Light between a an old oasis rocker and a space jazz song would flow horribly but it somehow works. Hard to find faults with this album so far.
