Still growing for me, but definitely a highlight and that "youuuuu and iiiiii got the .... Right stuff" is one of the catchiest moments on the album. Agree. It's stuck in my head. Perfect break on the album. I kinda wish Mighty I was track 5 I think they would flow pretty well. Nah, for me BOTMI is the perfect closer and I wouldn't want to touch to transition between that and You Know we Can't Go Back. I was worried putting The Dying of the Light between a an old oasis rocker and a space jazz song would flow horribly but it somehow works. Hard to find faults with this album so far.

I'm still in the mindset that this is one of the best songs he's ever written

Maybe @bonkersyesitsme could tell us who the fine girl is. Her backing vocals are brilliant Here she is during the recording of the Right Stuff: Joy Rose The same who did the backing on Let the Lord Shine a Light On Me Bless her, she has a gorgeous voice and it blends in so well with Noel's. She even looks pretty for fuck's sake She should be part of the band. Do we know if it's also her who sings on the other tracks (Riverman, The Mexican, Do The Damage...)?

What an extraordinary piece of music. It goes on for over 5 minutes, but I wish it would never stop. Thank you Mr. Noel Gallagher! The bass...the clarinette...everything. My god, even the woman-voice fits perfectly and I usually don't often enjoy female singers (being female myself, this is not sexist but simply a matter of taste This is something I wanted so much from Noel! I am happy. Thank you all! Oh..I was just listening to the Right Stuff and now While The Song Remains The Same comes on and it's also a pure joy to listen to...very very special.

Don't get me wrong, I like the song, but am I the only one who expected it to be a bit more out there? I feel like Noel's description of it have me a different impression. It sounds like 'Let The Lord Shine a Light on me' pt. 2

I like it a lot, and it's really relaxing and all, but I expected some psychedelic jazz fest I think. I'm not disappointed though, as long as I like a song I couldn't care less what genre it is.

How beautifully do Noel's and the Lady's voice go together? I hope she comes on tour with him, but I doubt it. Maybe for the more special gigs? RAH maybe? Then at least we would probably get a recording! Okay, I'm thinking too far. Let's first hope he plays it live at all!

Posting my weirdass opinion here because this is a new thread but he sounds a lot like Liam from Back After The Break on that part. There's a really serious voice Liam has on some lines of that, and I swear it's just identical to Noel singing "got the right stuff".
Why am I posting this

That bass line! The sax! The guitar solo! The atmosphere! The lyrics! Noel's strong vocals entering midway through!

Melody also reminds me of The Stone Roses.

It has A A written all over it. It's the only explanation for Noel going from High Horse Lady to this. Wow I didn't think of that. The sounds on it are definitely a lot more nuanced than Noel has form for. Wonder if there's gonna be a shitstorm when AA hear it?

Unfortunately not as "out there" as I expected. Nice but nothing that special or different.

It's usually not that much far out, out there or psychedelic. Just a bit different from the rest of his songs.
