Slightly off-topic question: Who were the writers for Man of Misery? That's one of my most favourite tunes of all time. It was from a different era it could've been one of those "defining" songs that go down generations. Perhaps not the way it is now, but the vibe of it, def.

I can already see the headlines (Sun and co) : "Noel saves Liam's career by giving him his leftovers". Liam cant and wont win in that situation : if that's good, people will say it's thanx to Noel, if it's shit, both will suffer from bad press. Liam needs to do his OWN thing, without ANY help. No collaboration, no nothing. Just his songs, a good producer and let's go. That's the only way he'll be seen as a proper artist, which he is, and not the brother with a voice but no songwriting talent. |

Liam should go solo, write some good songs and do a collaboration with many artists. His album solds more copies than HFB and CY combined and finally Noel realizes his solo career is a failure.  |

While it's a shame to see Liam bow out of music for however long, can you really imagine him sacrificing a lot of pride for a few of his brother's tunes?
Read or watch anything, anything at all, about Liam and there'll be numerous comments about how Noel is the talent and Liam has done nothing to deserve to still be in the public eye.
Now imagine him going "solo", only for Noel to write his songs. He'd get torn apart from every angle.

Noel wants it, he just started playing his game. But we need Liam to make his solo record first without any help, that's why Noel encourage him. He will do it, it will do fine, better than BE beacuse of Gallagher name, he will chill out finally, Noel will be after or in the middle of the time off after Chasing Yesterday and then is the time. If Noel's got any good songs, then he should release them. Same with Liam. Do your own fucking songs FFS.
Anyway, one of their prides and common sense would stop it, if Liam doesn't want to get torn limb from limb from the press and public opinion he won't accept it without not revealing Noel wrote it, something Noel wouldn't do because if he writes something good god knows he wants everyone to know.
If it's known Noel wrote it then neither can benefit, if it's good then Liam gets no credit and Noel fucks up again.
If it's bad then Liam gets nothing and Noel gets bad reviews.
So I say again, if Noel writes a good song then Noel should release it. If Liam writes a good song then Liam should release it.
Maybe if Liam sorts his voice out and writes a song that doesn't sound like a Ringo Starr b-side and maybe manages to write lyrics that resemble sense then he could be known as something other than a guy who could sing 20 years ago but has yet to base his anything meaningful off his own songwriting.
Anyway rant over I just hope Liam just spends a few years sorting his life out and then starts writing on his own with something to prove.

(More like) in his desperate attempt to promote new album , he s already looks like an old maid,insulting everyone το get attention, thinking he s rock n roll (debut,in the heat of the moment, TBOTMI?do me a favour).

From 1995 til today his albums (Oasis or NGHFB) are not even better than Beady Eye.
Noel should probably write first a proper album for himself, something to make him/us really proud and then to give advices and offers to Liam...
and Noel should not forget to pray for good albums sales (again) cause otherwise i bet that someone else will ask for an Oasis reunion...and the worst is that he s gonna do it only for the money not for the fans, not for Oasis.

What is wrong with people here? The press criticise Noel or Liam and people are pretty quick to defend them and yet when talking about Liam they sound exactly like the press.
Oh the press will rip him apart for it, Noel will get bad PR from it. Seriously who the fuck cares? Two men in there 40's who have paid there dues over many years collaborating to a certain degree as they have done before. Another person spoke of Liam 'crawling', sound just like the press because if Noel has said this and Liam were to call him and say 'I'll take you up on that mate' I don't really see how that constitutes crawling.
It would be brilliant to hear Liam singing a Noel song again and I have no doubt that IF Liam was to make a solo record it would include a lot of his own songs. I don't really see whats not good about it.
He should collaborate...but not with his brother. Yeah whatever. Fuck what the press would say about it. If its good I'd want to hear it.
