Also from the NME (scan of the page here thanks to AubreyOasis): But bits of the album do sound like Oasis.Noel: " There’s a bit of Talk Tonight in the acoustic intro to Riverman, a string section in The Girl With The X-Ray Eyes that recalls The Masterplan and a drum break in the same song that’s almost Don’t Look Back In Anger. Then Lock All The Doors, which was almost an Oasis song, kicks in like Morning Glory did." and this, not really new info, but still.. The Mexican almost didn’t make it.Noel: " On the original running order The Mexican wasn’t on the album, but I felt it needed something there to lighten the mood a bit. That and In The Heat Of The Moment were the two most throwaway things on the record, and that’s what I want there." Okay now I'm super excited about the first three. I mean, if it has the best bits from those great songs..

Some lyrics from this week's NME (where they are described as "classic Noel"): The Girl with the X-Ray eyes:"The girl with the X-ray eyes, she’s gonna see through my disguise"The Dying of the Light"I tried my best to get there but I can’t afford the bus fare"The Right Stuff "Out of the blue I heard an angel say, ‘Give me your soul and I’ll be on my way’"I hope X-Ray Eyes sounds like a David Bowie song. Is there not a David Bowie sounding song on this record? Think he said something, not sure which song off the album he was talking about though.

Nobody wants throwaways when you're releasing an album after 3.5 years.

So I haven't really given it much thought, but I did start to wonder last night what ITHOTM Remix might sound like.
Is it going to be a crazy AA-esque remix, or something more akin to Waiting For The Rapture Alternate Version 2?
I could imagine a less dancy version. Maybe horns or some type of brass in place of the nahnahnahs.

I think he said that about X-Ray Eyes. He said it was inspired by(aka it probably completely rips off) Starman.

What a Life! last time around.

If Lock all the Doors really kicks in like Morning Glory, my pants are gonna get very wet indeed. If that's the same "Lock all the doors" that is around on youtube, as Oasis, it does sound not too dissimilar to "Morning Glory", at least the background melody, if my ears are not totally wrong. But I guess it will sound quite different now, especially with Noel's voice.

I just hope it will rock, and not be overproduced like a lot of the "rock" that's on the radio these days.

I hope he's kept the rest of the lyrics as well. The bus fare bit and the line about the cold against his shoulder are cheesy, but the verses are some of his best lyrics ever imo.

Electronic music is amazing. Not talking about Radiohead (who are better with guitars) but those electronic acts from the 90s are amazing. Underworld, Massive Attack, Chemical Brothers, etc - brilliant. I so wish Noel had hired some of these guys to produce an a Oasis album instead of Dave FUCKING Sardy ( apologies, I develop Tourettes when I talk about him).

There was a lot of good things happening in the the UK music scene in the 90's .. Oasis were rightly the spear head of 'brit pop' but they should've used more electronic bands than the few chemical's collaboration's as that scene was thriving just as well as 'indie' Before BHN came out the prodigy's fat of the land was the fastest selling album ever in the uk (also released in '97)

Surrender is pretty much perfect.

Surrender is pretty much perfect. I couldn't agree more. Fat of the land is truly truly amazing album. The prodigy had that edge to them too, from the prodigy experience to jilted generation to fat of land was great growth and evolution which any band be proud of in 4-5 year period. Again got to agree surrender is perfect from start to end. Any 'electronic music' haters should chill out with that a few times and theyll get what its all about t

Okay, this might be the leak
But wait, please don't start insulting me. I downloaded it and there are 4 files:
1. ___Readme___Album folder is compressed, extract using Unpacker 1.0.2 utility.txt 2. [Album Preview] Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Chasing Yesterday (Deluxe) (2015).mp3 3. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Chasing Yesterday (Deluxe) [2015].pak 4. Unpacker 1.0.2 Setup.exe
The problem is that right now I have a mac and I can't use a PC until saturday. Because of that I can't open that .pak file. If you want to try... You'll never know

This blatantly isn't real. Just look at the design of the website and address. When it leaks it'll be on a scene release type website.
