I love the album already, it just feels good. Ballad Of Mighty I, come on this song is brilliant, the best i heard in ages from Noel. Riverman inspired by this Pinball song, i love this actual tune. Lock All The Doors, great chorus, no wonder he digged that out ( what a crazy idea btw, i'm very curious about this song, i think it's gonna be very good). The Mexican - he said it sounds like fuckin' Queens Of The Stone Age ( I mean... COME OOOOON ). Revolution Song- i always loved that one. While the Song Remains the Same- song about his youth and coming back to streets of Manchester, The Girl with X-Ray Eyes, it's just something about this tittles that feels already fresh. I'm excited, haven't been in a long, long time. It's gonna be great. Production so far is perfect. Chasing Yesterday, bring it on. Sorry, but I legitimately read that as "titties". Have a nice day.

I have read in two webs that Riverman will be the third single...but there's no official announcement, isn't it?
I mean, "Ballad Of Mighty I" has its official release on 23rd February... the same date that these webs give to "Riverman".

I've also been wondering, couldn't be possible that they will simply let um hear Riverman before the album actually comes out? I mean I believe they did it with Falling Down before DOYS came out and FD actually becoming a single... I know its not usual but it makes way more sense than a new single so soon...

I think it's because those websites are a little crossed up on the release date because they think TBOTMI has officially been released, but it's only been premiered. It's similar to ITHOTM, when Noel was talking about TBOTMI, he's only mentioning that RM will (I use that word gingerly, however) be the next single, but there isn't a real release date available, nor has there been an announcement on it. If it does turn out that RM does get released next to TBOTMI, that'd be crazy, and appreciated, of course.

Only thing we have is the date that the song will be available on Amazon US, but it don't means the official release date.

From the new Q
"I am known for one kind of music. People might hear this record and say, 'wow, that's a bit far out'."

Some lyrics from this week's NME (where they are described as "classic Noel"):
The Girl with the X-Ray eyes: "The girl with the X-ray eyes, she’s gonna see through my disguise"
The Dying of the Light "I tried my best to get there but I can’t afford the bus fare"
The Right Stuff "Out of the blue I heard an angel say, ‘Give me your soul and I’ll be on my way’"

Also from the NME (scan of the page here thanks to AubreyOasis): But bits of the album do sound like Oasis.Noel: " There’s a bit of Talk Tonight in the acoustic intro to Riverman, a string section in The Girl With The X-Ray Eyes that recalls The Masterplan and a drum break in the same song that’s almost Don’t Look Back In Anger. Then Lock All The Doors, which was almost an Oasis song, kicks in like Morning Glory did." and this, not really new info, but still.. The Mexican almost didn’t make it.Noel: " On the original running order The Mexican wasn’t on the album, but I felt it needed something there to lighten the mood a bit. That and In The Heat Of The Moment were the two most throwaway things on the record, and that’s what I want there."

"[In reference to the opening line of "In the Heat of the Moment"] If that’s not an opening line for a song I don’t know what is, but you can’t write a song about an astronaut,” says Gallagher of In The Heat Of The Moment. “That’s ludicrous. Especially after Jeremy gave it a disco beat.” ...so "D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman" is not about a being a spaceman?

So Noel heard Morning Glory while shopping at Tescos and then happened to be thinking about Lock All the Doors and now the song is done. Brilliant.

After this prolonged release things are finally starting to heat up. Really looking forward to Riverman, the right stuff, and the girl with the x-ray eyes.
