And this: ' Q Track of the Day Name: Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds Track name: Do The Damage Hometown: Manchester. Who? The Chief. Why now? Happy Noel! Ok it’s a terrible pun, but Q does has some Noel news coming on Saturday (27 December) so we thought it was worthy it. In the meantime merry Christmas from all on the Q team! Hear more: Noelgallagher.com www.qthemusic.com/7803/noel-gallaghers-high-flying-birds-do-the-damage/Yeah it's not a big interview or anything, just a page on the album with a few quotes/short interview with him. Most of the stuff about the album isn't new bar the mexican being an AA track, but he says he'd like to produce The Libertines new record if he had the time and when the inevitable Beady Eye question comes up he says he'd like him to do a solo album. Noël knows what's up... Merry Christmas.

Yeah, apparently it's a "stand-out track" but I wonder why. What makes it stand out?
God I need details soon.

Yeah, apparently it's a "stand-out track" but I wonder why. What makes it stand out? God I need details soon. Yes, it's a stand-out track for a single person. I don't even know who he is, but I don't really care about a single opinion, sorry. I could say that both Little James and Magic Pie are stand-out tracks when they aren't

I've heard more people say it was a stand out track. Or am I imagining things now.
But yeah, I see your point.

62 days. That's fantastic. I think we might just make it!
I can't wait to hear The Mexican and Riverman. Those sound really interesting. Mighty I too, but we're about to hear that in about 2 weeks anyway.
Then again, who knows, I thought Ballroom Figured sounded interesting and look how that turned out.

It's looking increasingly like The Right Stuff is the song Gaz Cobain is feeling ripped off over.
(Assuming there's only one)

Why is posting officially available music frowned upon here but posting copyrighted writing is encouraged?
Q mag writers have got to make a living too you know ;-)

Why is posting officially available music frowned upon here but posting copywrited writing is encouraged? Q mag writers have got to make a living too you know ;-) You can upload music protected by copyright if you record it through a microphone, i.e. in worse quality than the original. Same probably goes for pics of a magazine taken by a mobile phone camera?

Same probably goes for pics of a magazine taken by a mobile phone camera? neither is allowed, tbh. shitty rips of music is still piracy... Otherwise movie screeners would be legal too. You can quote excerpt of a magazine, reproduce parts of it but link to the original if website is existing. I guess there is a gray area for magazine scans since it's not the whole issue and it generate free advertising for said magazine.

I'm not sure I'd want you as my copyright lawyer LIAM ;-) www.smashingmagazine.com/2007/07/07/copyright-explained-i-may-copy-it-right/Mods, I bring this up only with the best interests of the forum at heart. I'm certain that by typing up articles and publishing on her blog, Turtle is breaking copyright law (unless she got Q's permission). That's fine, that's her risk if she chooses to take it. (Great blog btw turtle! I doubt you're large enough to bother the authorities!!) As far as this forum is concerned I believe that posting photos of mag articles will be breaking the same pro-boards rule that means we can't post copyrighted music. I was genuinely going to buy Q mag for this article - I'm not going to now, I don't need to.
