Wow........ELO outsold Noel with almost 8 full months head start? Wild. It's not "ELO", it's "Jeff Lynn's ELO" lol. That's is pretty crazy, the ELO album is ok, was listening to it last week but it's no way better than CY. FACT: Jeff Lynn is ELO. |

Idk when ever you buy anything or enter a comp it signs you up. Sure you had to watch the FB thing too? Think prior oasis sign ups send Noel stuff, ie if ever registered on any of gallagher websites. Anyway just an email saying this is coming out basically. Not sure nowadays where you except info to come from? All the typical music sites still cover releases and tour dates etc I don't know, I mainly listen to the radio and I am a bit on the internet, obviously. I think you took my comment a bit too seriously. Of course I could've seen it would be coming out somehow. But take Adele. Didn't need social media to find out she'd be releasing something. Got that rammed through my throat anyway. |

Paraphrasing but that's the difference. When something popular it gets rammed down your throat you can't go on a site without some Star Wars story at the mo not matter how irrelevant it is to anything. By the looks of that album chart can say Noel's only just top 20th most popular artist in the only market that gives a shit about his music? All his singles have basically bombed and his album sales got to be a disappointing 'really' to his people at least That's not being negative to Noel and he is bigger than that but he does get a lot of press and he does actually market a lot but for some reason people seem blinded or deluded that he does nothing which just isn't true. |

That was also his big mistake cause albums in uk sell high in the last montrhs of the year. if CY was a late autumn release Noel could have these sales (251.000) in a few weeks and his album could have a better chance to sale even more.
In December CY was already yesterdays news...

Absolute madness. i've said this for a long time and still think its true (in my mind with no actual facts haha) but i really believe it was due out last october / november the FB launch and all the radio interviews / takeovers he did in oct/nov etc made no sence at all! with the album not being out (and was to much just for the single). Even mastertapes would've made more sence with 2 albums out. The way this tours been split in half with 6 months break again i'd predict it should've been winter tour 14 spring summer and festivals and then this xmas thing then over. I would think with everything that was going on the AA they pulled the launch to give time to settle the dispute, if they didnt settle could've cost him a lot £££ if then went to court with the album out. They just thought we might as well keep the promo just pull the tour and get album out next year. obv I'm probably delusional but something was very 'wrong' |

Yeah it feels a bit strange, or "wrong" indeed. Especially since it was all finished in July 2014! Makes no sense at all to wait until March. Should've released it in the October-December period last year. That FB thing felt weird too, just like the way the tour's been split up.

I seem to remember (on very generic terms as my memory's not serving me well at the minute) somebody saying they had some difficulties with its release especially outside the UK,that's why it took so long,I might be wrong tho

Sure noel did mention he was signing individual deals for individual markets etc before CY came out tho, but as he's done very very little promo outside of europe and japan like say i doubt that been a factor |

I'd be happy with it tbh,I've enjoyed the CY era a lot and I'm gonna enjoy following the rest of the tour,but I can't wait for another record,especially if he's really working with David Holmes...hopefully it's as good as the previous two |
