Sadly some albums were Cheap (Taylor Swift's 1989 etc) last week so he didn't make the top 10

That's another good run so far. Not surprising considering it's a great album with great singles and that it was promoted well, but still, nice to see Noel is getting what he deserves for this.

At this rate it'll be back at number one in time for the summer holidays.

Time Flies is #58. It's Impressive the number of weeks this album spent on chart since 2010.
Let's now see how many copies Blur sold. After the 2nd best selling rock album of 2011 I would love to see Noel in the top 5 again.

Those tossers may be celebrating now, but I can't forsee them doing well in the charts internationally or having as much longevity as Noel does.

It's a true statement, though. Always fucking hated Blur. Oasis were superior to them in every way.
It's only been a few hours since Blur got another undeserved UK Number 1 and I'm fucking sick of all the news articles about it. Hence the motivation to make my account name what it is.

He's been out of the top100 for a few weeks now. Wonder how long it'll take for Blur.

It really fucking is. It's just a cash in. The only reason it got to number 1 is because of the name attached to the album, not because of it's quality.

Anyway if Noel is already out of the top 100 there, I can't imagine Blur would be there next week.

The Netherlands, where only Be Here Now ever went to #1 I believe and where their highest charting single, Wonderwall, peaked at #8. So that says enough I think. I was surprised he even reached #8. HFB1 peaked at #11.

Well god damn. Never underestimate the power of people to have bad taste, I suppose.
That said, I still think that Noel's album will have more longevity in the UK/Ireland and internationally than Blur's. Blur may chart higher at first, but their a one and done deal. They'll be out of all the charts soon enough.

Does anybody have access to the UK Top 200 singles? I want to see how Riverman is doing.

As much as I don't like Blur, I'd rather see them at number 1 than someone like, say Taylor Swift.
