Yellow Submarine only got to number 3. Yellow Submarine was a soundtrack album, hence not being counted It also only has 4 new songs on it! No way should that count as a proper album. There's also Magical Mystery Tour which didn't come out until 1976 in the UK, I don't think that charted at #1.

Well Macca for sure Alex Turner has 7/7 if you count Submarine and The Age Of Understatement Submarine is a EP so he has 6/6 Exactly submarine was an EP and a soundtrack and didn't go to number one?

Arctic Monkeys are bigger than Kasabian. In august their merchandising was everywhere, in every shop in London. And Noel him self in term of sales is bigger than Kasabian NGHFB sold the same as AM in UK, if we can trust wikipedia. Maybe not in US, but is Noel as big as Arctic Monkeys in UK? NGHFB 750k copies in 3.5 years AM 750k (but i Think it's closer to 1M) in 1.5 year NG still at #1. TAKE THAT MADONNA

But that's only because it wasn't officially released yet and some weird story about it being released in the US and being imported to the UK and all. Not that this is relevant

Oh by the way,it says she's outselling him by nearly 3:1 after the first 24 hours, and her first day sales are 32k,so expect him to be gold by tomorrow

If you assume a 3:1, that puts Noel at 11k. That's a 23k sale gap. Noel would have to sell 6k to her 2k for the rest of the week to surpass her. I don't think he'll sell that high and I don't think she'll sell that low. Seems extremely unlikely that he can catch her for #1. Her album would have to tank the rest of the way.

Yeah it's unlikely, but what we don't know is if she's really selling or if those numbers are mostly pre-sales,so there's still a chance, but I'll be happy with a #2 anyway

Even in that scenario it's pretty uphill

As of now we Have UK 89k (1 wk) Japan 21k (2 wk) What about US chart? US charts are typically "officially" announced on Thursdays. However, projection, which is usually 99% accurate will be sent out later today. My guess it still, that hes somewhere between 18-28. 24, split the difference, being the most likely.
