Problem is sam smith ain't far behind neither is ed sheeran This is very true. Though, I think Sam Smith has better chance. Ed Sheeran is beginning to drop a tad bit. If Noel is beaten, i will probably be because of streaming. Streaming is beginning and will continue to cost old dogs like Noel even more spots on the chart. The system was always stacked, but it's starting to become even more stacked toward larger pop artists. Because really, those are the only people who can REALLY take advantage of the streaming numbers.

I think top 30 debut in the usa is decent to be honest not bad at all Hits Daily Double have a building chart that they update through Monday and Tuesday. hitsdailydouble.com/building_album_chartRight now, Noel is at #26 with sales of 9k. That's with 69.31% of total sales for all artists being accounted for. So within the 30% that's left, he could have a lot of sales in there (enough to double his total) or barely any. He is within striking distance of the Top 20. But I think he regresses to sales of 15k and stays around the 24-26 area, rather than getting the 18k or so that would give him a really good chance at the Top 20. That's just my hunch. We'll know in about 6 or 7 hours. The next wave updates will be in just over an hour. That wave should take it up to around 80 something percent or very near 100%

Problem is sam smith ain't far behind neither is ed sheeran That's the problem with spotify amd all that shit, he's above on Itunes tho, let's hope it stays like that But he's behind Sam Smith on Amazon. So, the two come close to cancelling out. Sam Smith will most likely pull ahead in streams.

Also, this is an update from the UKMIX chart forum of the current sales numbers of the albums:
Chasing yesterday 89,110 #1 Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds 2,359 #41
Total album sales up until 7/3/15
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds 783,937 Beady Eye - Different Gear, Still Speeding 186,746 Beady Eye - BE 71,503
I don't know if these are guestimates or hard numbers, but UKMIX is usually pretty spot on with their numbers even when they are guesses and they seem about right.

Or are they just added at the end of the week? It doesn't really matter when they're added. If Sam Smith is outpacing Noel by a good margin there then it could be added at anytime, whether at the end of the week or during the week, and he'll overtake him on that alone. It's just a question of do you want him to slowly overtake him or quickly? But either way, if the numbers are big enough that's kind of it.

Kasabian 48.13 sold 91k first week, and they're probably the biggest English band right now Im pretty sure the biggest band in England is either Mumford and sons or the Arctic Monkeys I bet in terms of sales its The Beatles any given time of the year world wide, at least in terms of total sales.

Yeah yeah he will surpass him anyway, I just wanted to know if in those 7, 2k streams were counted or not

I would assume toward the end so all of the streams could be converted into sales at once. Rather than progressively converting throughout the week.

But I doubt if there's much movement. MAYBE he moves up to say, #26, but I can't see much more than that. Hits daily double is usually spot on and there won't that big of a variance to make a difference. Chance are he's either 27, 28, or 29 with a slight variation in sales.

That seems like a good improvement. According to Wikipedia he only got to #21 last time.

Where did you see that? Swedish chart is updated on Fridays and he didn't chart last week (I don't think it was officially released here before Friday, although I picked it up in a record store last Wednesday).
