I think he was saying it tongue in cheek... We can't possibly let people think Beady Eye are bigger than Noel somewhere can we now! Lollllll. By admitting they both failed in the same country? Yea, let's not think that. Cause you know, that's completely slanted toward Noel, failure on both sides. I just don't see why the big explanation was needed myself.

Japan Chart CY 1st week #10 14,631 copies FYI NGHFB's 1st week #5 22,777 copies DGSS's 1st week #3 28,572 copies BE's 1st week #10 11,516 copies All those figures are pretty poor, so no one wins really. But in what way are Beady Eye bigger than NGHFB in Japan? BE was released like 21 months ago and sold 11,516 first week. The music industry in Japan has been in constant decline before and since, and yet CY still outsells BE. The only reason DGSS sold that many (relatively speaking) is because it was the first post Oasis album to be released. I'd even argue that the terrible quality of DGSS probably put some people off buying NGHFB. Furthermore, BE sold 17,000 less than DGSS despite being released only 28 months later. CY has sold 8000 less than NGHFB despite being released 41 months later. Anyone who think Beady Eye are bigger than NGHFB in Japan is kidding themselves.

As long as the music is still top quality the good sales are a bonus his fanbase is still huge personally I think this is a top notch album.

I think Noel will release music regardless but he still has to recover production costs. Most artists make most of their money touring but I'm not sure how profitable his tour is outside the UK.

Album's been out for a day, and in some countries it's not even out yet, yet people are already complaining it's not selling well?
Good lord. Ever thought of finding a hobby or something?

Besides, we all know how it's going in the music industry, and that it's just going worse, yep, even since 2011.

His US charting will be pretty bad. If #13 is his peak on ITunes in the first 24 hours then he'll be lucky to chart in the Top 40 on the Billboard 200. He'd either have to hold a Top 20 throughout the week for downloads or hope that physical and pre order sales from else where make up the difference. I think he may struggle to make 10k opening week sales here. That's just my guess.
Edit: he is now up to #8 for US ITunes, but it'll still be a struggle.

Why are so many on here obsessed with charts and sales, it does not in anyway determine whether and albums good or not & shouldn't change any fans opinion of the album. Whether this album sells loads long term like Noel's first is to be seen but honestly who cares!!
I get the bitter Liam/Beady Eye fans will dig at anything negative they can find but surely people have better things to do.
Talk about something that matters! Sales and charts don't!
