Well he already has a decent number of songs to go solo but I would love to see the people on here going ape shit if he still sang Noel songs at a Liam Gallagher gig. But are they good enough?

Not surprising, to be honest.
I wonder what the reason behind it is, though.
Don't know if this makes an Oasis reunion more or less likely:
On one hand, their project is over and now - barring any additional developments - are available. Just have to wait for after Noel's second album and consequential tour - leading to a possible reformation late 2016 or 2017.
But, and this is what I fear is the likelier scenario, LAG will go their separate ways. They'll remain mates, to be sure, but each will devolve into their own lives. I always, always, always (I can't stress this point enough), that the BDI represented the best chance at Oasis reuniting, because all the members were there already, barring Noel. All they needed to do was convince Noel - a tall order, of course, but manageable. Now, with the split, it will take even more to rally each individual troop for the cause. And that, is the real shame of today's BDI split, for me.
I want my Oasis back, god damn it. Failing that, Gem to Noel indeed. I do really like Gem.

There will be no reunion. Sure it makes sense now for Liam but not for Noel. PLUS.........Oasis to ME was Liam, Noel, Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan.

Gutted. Saw their very first gig and one of their last. Plus I was lucky enough to meet them, which was one of the best days of my life.
All the best to the guys. I think Andy will do a solo album, and Gem will probably join Noel. Chris will probably go back to being a session drummer. As for Liam, I don't know what he'll do, but I can guarantee that he won't be out of the spotlight for long!
Long live Beady Eye!

Maybe that's why Liam and noel are on better terms, Liam is trying to get in Noel's good books for a reunion.

Yea to me oasis are and will always be. Liam noel bonehead guigsy tony / alan THATS Oasis to me .... I agree with Lennon2217 a reunion won't happen , I think we both agree that somewhere down the line a reunion tour may happen like 2017-2020 , but the days of a LP tour break lp tour break. I think are done ,

Just wonderful, now I gotta hear MORE reunion speculation for the next couple of years. Noel is gonna be like Johnny Marr. No Smiths reunion, no Oasis reunion.

Wow, even though they've had a lack of success this was a bit of a shock. I always had the idea that Liam preferred the feeling of safeness of being in a band. He got crazy everytime Noel mentioned doing a solo album while Oasis still were together, because he thought that would be the end of the band. Being in a band is his thing, his life. I know Beady Eye isn't oasis, but the rest of the band are his best mates. I'm don't think he'll start another band with other people than them. Beady Eye were gonna do the soundtrack for The Longest Coctail Party which he will have more time to work on now, but does he have the money to do that without future album and ticket sales from Beady Eye? And if he has the funds needed, will Andy and Gem still do the soundtrack with Liam? He'll still have his successful Pretty Green brand, but he has kids he has to pay child support fees for, and also lost quite a bit of money in his divorce too. He gets some money from the oasis-reissues, but that doesn't last forever. I guess in the next years he'll do some charity and one-off gigs every now and then, and also try to promote and develope his Pretty Green more. More than that would be wild guessing. I have no idea what he'll do next. We'll just have to wait and see. We have this old article, though I don't know how literal I should interpret it; Digitalspy: Liam Gallagher might quit music if new Beady Eye album fails

I'd personally expect/want Liam to: - Do a solo album with collaborations - Develop the Longest Cocktail Party film - Expand his clothing brand

Surprised that he came out and announced the end. I thought he might just keep quiet and do his next thing and swerve mentioning B.E
Next move will be the ghost written book I reckon, something with the words rock n roll in the title.
