Liam Gallagher has officially announced that Beady Eye are 'no longer' and has thanked people for their support. Sad times, for them. What's next?! Noel said in that Q & A he did that Beady Eye were 'plugging along' or whatever it was he said. Which, to me at the time, suggested that they were still a band and were doing OK. No reason to think he was lying or being facetious... what changed I wonder?! All of OUR talk of a Liam solo album would be phenomenal, but I personally can't see it happening. I also hope that round 24 of the Oasis reunion talk doesn't kick off from this (obviously it will...) because it isn't ever going to happen. Feel really sorry for the lads, can't be good times for them. linkLittle update: Gem's wife on twitter has just tweeted that she 'only found out about [the split] yesterday'. Very interesting little development. Might suggest that something has happened with them or that Liam has just decided that he wants no more.

I have said he needs to go solo , to break away from oasis brand , I hope this is true , best thing for liam in long run , BDI were seen by the outside world , not you guys as oasis less noel , not healthy. Good for liam if true

Liam, show ambition.
Do something different.
Work with different people.
Collaborate.

I honestly thought they would hold out for another album, shame. Interested to see if Liam will make a solo album or wait for the inevitable Oasis reunion.

Wow I wasn't expecting that but I'm interested to see what he does next. Hopefully a solo album with collaborations.

I was never really a BE fan but best of luck to the band members in the future. Hopefully we see a Reunion between Liam, Bonehead, Guigsy and Alan White for a live tour.

I'm not gonna celebrate the end of this band because I love all the guys in it and a lot of their tunes but let's be honest, when the album tanked commercially last year, the writing was on the wall. Hopefully I'll get that Liam solo album I've beeen dreaming about. Following Oasis with another band made up with former Oasis members was always going to be tough sledding.

There's going to be a lot of people on these boards made up about this. I'm gutted, found their music to be the most impressive post Oasis.

Not that unexpected tbh. DGSS was underwhelming for them and not the big start they needed (see album and ticket sales). BE was the last roll of the dice but those die fell out of their hands and onto the floor before they even got to cast them.
Liam needs to disappear for a few years. Going solo straight away would be a big mistake IMO.

Doomed for failure , I m Actually excited. Now a third LP would be RECIEVED just as bad in states m tne band had zero buzz , obviously noel is busy next two years , so let's hope liam goes solo , I love this idea,,and i too am never happy for failure of any GALLAGHER. But this was doomed from start

I wouldn't be against Gem joining HFB as a touring member. No song contributions however.

They were very unlucky with all the circumstances around the release of their 2nd album. Good luck to all of them in whatever they come up next. Wouldn't mind seeing Liam collaborate with a bunch of different artists.

Speaking of solo albums, gimme Andy with a gentle acoustic album please.

Well he already has a decent number of songs to go solo but I would love to see the people on here going ape shit if he still sang Noel songs at a Liam Gallagher gig.

Not unexpected.Shame but best for all concerned.I don't see Liam doing much apart from the odd guest appearance like the rumoured teenage cancer gig.
