Will Noel be able to fill the gap in our hearts? as great as noel's songs are! for me not. Beady Eye were something special to me. I love Noel and his songs but I really liked the work of Beady Eye more, I don`t know why. Everybody can tell me, that noels lyrics are better written, and yeah they are not that simple, and that the songs of Morning glory were written with more enegery and better structures, than songs on BE, but I don`t know ... my taste made me feel such tall and full of joy, when I first listened to BE. Some ot you think the songs are poor but to me BE was one of the best gallagher related albums ever and yes over the first two.

I blame Liam's silly haircut in 2011 for the failure of Beady Eye. if that was the case the 08 cut would've finished oasis.. oh wait

Will Noel be able to fill the gap in our hearts? He certainly will for some I have no doubt. But for me personally Noel isn't making the same kind of music and won't do the same for me. That's not to say I won't like his album.

if that was the case the 08 cut would've finished oasis.. oh wait 97'? Nah, in 97 they were still on top of the world. They could get away with anything, be it bad haircuts or loads of drugs.

Didn't Chinese Democracy sell like 6 million albums though? Compared to Beady Eyes total of 260,000 and Zwans 150,000 total. PLEASE not a comparison between Chinese Democracy and Beady Eye. Totally different circumstances! And if you compare it the DGSS Sales were a success instead of CD Oh believe me I'm not. I didn't bring up CD, only Zwan. A more reasonable comparison to a 90s act trying to reinvent oneself. I'm shocked CD sold that many copies. Even in the USA, a million sold.

Will Noel be able to fill the gap in our hearts? probably. no doubt i'll love his album, be wowed by the tunes, have a great time at the gig and after talk about what a musical genius he is. noel is solid, sturdy, unflappable, consistent. BUT as a frontman... liam is THE man. even on his worst night vocally you still feel like if you blink you might miss something. you need to keep your eye on him at all times because you never know what will happen. THAT is what i am going to miss.

I hope that chick doesn't get the amount of money she wants. fucking ridiculous... fucking groupies! God bless.

I was listening to some songs from DGSS today a bit. I feel quite nostalgic about this album to be honest, many memories comes along. Remember it was winter/ autumn when it was released. It felt cool to me as i remember. Had a groove. Good vibrations. I liked it. Still think it's a decent record.

Yeah , youre right jaq515, my mistake. Probably that's why it feels so in place right now, it's freakin November again. But i'm pretty sure we heard Bring The Light first. I was listening to the whole album during winter later though, i remember having a flu and listening to the whole new album in bed with fever for the first few days. It never sounded so good ever since, probably this were the medications i was taking, but i liked it

I wasn't particularly bothered about the end of Oasis but I'm genuinely surprised and disappointed at this. They weren't everybody's cup of tea but I think they had an album or so's worth of decent songs and were very good live. I'm not somebody who takes sides but I preferred them to Noel's solo material.
It's a shame because they were doomed to fail from the start. Rightly or wrongly the general public see Noel as the talent and a lot of people perceive Liam to be a talentless yob. Liam's reputation got them a leg up initially but they were never going to be taken seriously or respected. It's a shame also because they started full of enthusiasm but management (or perhaps the band themselves, who knows?) repeatedly made terrible decisions.
I'd stop short of saying I feel sorry for them but I'm disappointed
