GUYS! Basically everyone is slagging the artwork. I thought I would make a thread about to make this very significant point:
Ahem...
SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THE ARTWORK. IT IS ONLY ARTWORK, STOP COMPLAINING LIKE A GAGGLE OF vaginaS!
Cheers!
Edited title.

It's unforgivable though. You think of the artwork when you think of the album. Really should have put some actual thought into it. It looks like it was made in MS Paint. Is it actually confirmed as Brian Cannon as well?

IT IS ONLY ARTWORK, STOP COMPLAINING LIKE A GAGGLE OF vaginaS! Cheers! Bloody hell... If people don't like the artwork, they're at total liberty to say so if they wish. As you said yourself, it's only artwork, so then why are you getting so pissed about people slagging it off?

I'm surprised this is the work of Brian Cannon. Seems too slick and modern. He's more artistic.

I don't mind the artwork. Bit naff that we've only got a poor quality version of it. It's 2014. HD please!

Artwork doesn't bother me that much. But the covers are horrid.

Is someone drainin Noel's blood in the single artwork? It looks like a bad bond cover, it only needs the pose and the gun

Artwork is important for me. And this... is horrible. The worst I've ever seen.

His artwork coincides well with his music; it appeals to the general public. Judging by the lead single and the artwork I could well imagine my mum and sister buying his album it Sainsbury's

He looks old and bored and like he's not giving a fuck about it, which was probably the case. HFB was beautiful compared to this. I like the single artwork better

It's fartwork.

This color combination of red and blue in art of course always had a significant meaning. Blue represents cold hard truth, while red represents several things: comfort, warmth, recognition, familiarity and danger. Movie maker Stanley Kubrick for instance is best known for the usage of the red and blue combination in his title sequences. The album cover and single cover doesn't look like anything of Brian Cannon's previous work but maybe the simplicity is the message. Buonasera!

Think of any tune off SOTSOG... you accompany it with that beautiful cover of the city skyline and it sets the tone for the song. If the cover looks like no thought has gone into it at all then why should I think otherwise about the music inside?

Yes, it's only artwork but you can't say that it doesn't matter what it is. It's something you probably lay your eyes on every time you listen to the album, whether it be digitally or a physical CD/vinyl copy. Of course it's much more pleasant if you find it looking cool/beautiful and I'm sorry to say I'm finding it hard to like this one... Hell, I even like the first album's better and I was quite disappointed with that.

It doesn't look great. Noel's in a very stiff, awkward looking pose. He looks uncomfortable. The brick wall idea would have been better if the bricks were more defined rather than pastel looking.
And the colors on the single are sort of annoying. Chief America is the nickname I'm giving it.

This should have been the cover: I agree. The cover for the album is plain and not imaginative.

This should have been the cover: I agree. The cover for the album is plain and not imaginative. Wouldn't be at all surprised if this was the original idea for the cover but Noel rejected it meaning they had no choice but to use the same image but without the color on top. Result: Noel standing infront of a plain white brick wall and the shittest album cover of all time.

My point is, we havent had news for ages. Too long in fact. Beady Eye had to cancel their tour early and now we have all been sat in silence waiting for this announcement. First thing: everyone slags off the fucking artwork.
Jesus Christ.

Would anyone walk around with this artwork on a shirt? I think that's the best judge of whether or not you truly like it.
