I asked Brian Cannon if the black/white photo with Noel is in fact the album cover, he didn't reply...it's about time we ratchet up the intensity and kidnap him. eva, get the chloroform ready. Gracias. I think he did make the cover or is playing dumb. I don't know....maybe. Brian Cannon hasn't mentioned anything about Noel's album or Oasis for awhile. I'm actually a little pissed that he didn't reply to my question about the album....some of his facebook friends seem to annoy him by talking shit. I don't really interact with him besides occasionally 'liking' things he posts. and actually, he himself can be a little annoying. he posts things all the time and goes on about how much he loves his girlfriend and shit, but whatever, that's not a big deal, if only a little girlie. As some people here said, there's a lack of something to imagine. I do like the NGHFB cover, the gas station blurred and the lights make me picture something like a giant ship pointing up to the sky... But there's nothing to imagine seeing Noel standing up with a tacky clothing and some lines on the left side. Oasis used to have great covers. Maybe just HC isn't cool. I don't think WTSMG have a great cover (compared to DM or SOTSOG or DOYS), but it is a classic and turns out that the music made the cover famous. I'm very disappointed. The one that carlober made is far superior. |

I bet if Carlober showed that cover to Noel, he'd use it and toss out the original. I mean, it isn't exactly too late. 5 months to go. The covers probably haven't even been produced in mass yet.

I just know that in 5 years there will be a 'worst album covers of all time' and Chasing Yesterday will be somewhere on the list. Dunno, I don't think it's actually actively bad. It's just pretty bland, the album cover equivalent of wearing a white shirt and jeans... Guess I could grow to like it more if the music is great. I've definitely liked albums with covers I liked less. |

Let's just say Noel f*cked off Brian and decided to do it himself. And what point did Noel hold that up and think "yep, that's the best I can do. I can do no better". The mind boggles. In the interview, he seems really impulsive about everything. Still looking at the covers and critiquing them, wondering if they are decent or not. Coming up with the album title just 2 weeks prior and he doesn't even like it. Seems really sudden for something he's been sitting on since July. I really think he should reconsider the cover, it's probably too late for ITHOTM, but possibly not the album itself. |

Are you sure? he would know.. but surely thats only artist ever not to post the final artwork when releasing an album(i.e.on that would change).. and having a single / gig announcements in the style of that album cover .. tp change very very strange.. its not like the album being rushed out |

Ah, the memories of that first press conference in July 2011 when everybody was concerned how unenthusiastic Noel was sounding about his solo career  Have to agree about the name though - I hate the fact that he's all like "yeah, I know that album title is shit, just came up with it last week" and in the next sentence "I've been killing time for three months now, had nothing to do". Seriously man - you had exactly one thing to do. Concerning the cover - I trust oneexcitedyoungman, and he never said it was the cover (while discussing the single cover in great length). Absolutely possible that they're still not quite done with the artwork, there is still a lot of time left. |
