Sorry to hijack this thread a bit, but no idea where else to ask and don't want to make a new thread...
If someone said they liked early Coldplay but not recent albums, and also said they have a dislike for Oasis(based on whatever big exposure tunes they had & all the press they got in 90s), which lesser known Oasis tracks you'd recommend them to listen in order to possibly change their opinion a bit?

Honestly I'd go for the slightly softer stuff like Half the World Away, Rockin' Chair, Talk Tonight, Cast No Shadow, Roll It Over, etc. All great songs to me

Their last two albums have had some stunning live shows follow them. I went to a MX tour show in 2011 in DC and it was honestly the greatest concert I've ever been to. So engaging and enthralling from start to finish. I just wish they had a larger tour for Ghost Stories!

Call me crazy but I feel Coldplay announcing another album come 2015 and a proper world tour behind it. Ghost Stories to me was a smaller, quieter release. Just a theory. Coldplay always goes big eventually.

Coldplay always goes big eventually. Great Live band, Martin puts everything into it and they don't skip on the hits. All that yoga and healthy living does you wonders I guess. You get Value for money, plus you might get a peak of Jennifer Lawrence as a bonus (although if you seen those nude leaks you should be fine ). I doubt they tour live for this one, they don't have too. The Album sold well even though it was critically panned by most critics (to be fair Coldplay haven't got the critics on side since AROBTTH). They are immune really. Plus its not a album you tour massive stadiums or arenas with, it's a quiet album. If they release something more bombastic then maybe.

I love Coldplay. Their music is so easy to listen to, and that's the danger. I think some of their later stuff especially, is a bit boring. Anyway, great band, great songs, great frontman who seems like an awesome guy. One of their concerts from the Mylo Xyloto tour was on tv recently and it looked and sounded great.
I hope I'll ever have the chance to see them live

Don't think they've ever put on a bad show. By no means my favourite band, but they are absolutely unbeatable live.

I've seen them twice, and yes they put on one of the best shows around. The music is great, the set is usually diverse, and the spectacle of the show is one of the best I've ever seen.
Martin gives his all to the audience. Really admirable.

Looks like you called it, Lennon2217 apparently Chris said it's the last Coldplay album, I don't believe it though

Coldpay have always said that the next album would be the last one, it started with Viva La vida IIRC.

People who say that AM by the Monkeys is boring and then they listen to Coldplay's last records are funny. I know a pair of them.
Anyway, To me this song is "zZz", but it's normal because i found them boring after A Rush of Blood to the Head
