Radiohead recorded at Jack White's studio with him involved with the production back in June of 2012. Sadly these sessions have never been heard. All we know is that two songs were recorded, one being Identikit.

With such big font as that, I was thinking 'surely not'? Just looked up google news and find the great news he's FINALLY signed a record deal. Hoping for a latter year release at the least. What's more, I THINK I read somewhere that Johnny Marr is thinking of releasing a second album this year. Not building up hopes as I was in a rush reading Q Magazine at a train station and was thinking about the acceptable time to look from the shelf before people started frowning.

Yes, what a great news! Moz has signed a two record deal with Capitol Music and gonna record it in France next month. The last time I saw him was in November 2009 and I'm dying to listen to his new album and to see him live again! As for Johnny, I haven't heard anything if he'll release the second solo album next year, but you never know what's he gonna do next. Past decade, he's been releaseing one album with each band he joined - The Healers, Modest Mouse and The Cribs. I wouldn't suprise if he join some band again, bur for now he seems enjoying being solo for the very first time. Whaever he does, I'll follow him.

Yeah, the album's all bits and pieces written over the last few years, so doesn't really have a coherent theme running though it, but taking them individually and its still typical brilliant Springsteen. He's got loads and loads of material, apparently a full album that is yet to be released around the time he did Streets of Philadelphia.

Get ready for the Coldplay juggernaut to start rolling again. One of the headlines for the next Q Magazine is 'Q gets inside Coldplay's triumphant return'. Haven't heard a sniff from them, this should provide much needed insight for their next album. news.qthemusic.com/2014/01/telling_stories_-_check_out_th.html

^ so true, but isn't Arcade Fire doing the same thing with Reflecktor?
It's honestly kinda lame for a lot of bands to do this "look" or image with their clothing for each tour. Obviously Coldplay and Arcade Fire are some of the biggest bands in the world thus they are justified in their indulgence/vanity. Still not really a fan of it because it seems so contrived in a lot of cases including Arcade Fire and Coldplay.
As solo acts I gotta say Janelle Monae and Freddie King have some of the best styles. Monae's is really androgynous and simple, provides great contrast with her bombast music.
Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings new album is pretty solid, throwback soul if you're into that type of thing. Making Up and Breaking Up would've been a hit maybe 40 years ago.

Oh I don't care if Coldplay do it or not, I'm a fan but it is s trend I noticed back in 2005 that these guys all dress the same everywhere they go, The difference with Arcade Fire doing it I suppose is that they have a smaller TV profile. You want to see them dressed up as the Three Amigos you gotta go see them in concert. Coldplay literally get into their uniforms at the start of an album's promotional cycle and never take them off until the end of the tour. All appearances in their outfits.

Anyone into Wild Beasts?
Their first album, Smother, was one of the very very best of 2011. Another band signed to the label Domino, who host illustrous indie acts like the Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand.
Always wary of second album syndrome for bands that have a blistering start so fingers crossed this one ranks up there. But I'm a bit cautious - their first single Wanderlust seems to go full blown with electronic influence. The first one simply dabbled in electronica, but I hate it when bands go for the generic hipster electronic influence simply in order to appease pretentious Pitchfork readers. Very disappointing, and band obsessions with 'going electronica' are beginning to get a bit tedious I think to the point it has become incredibly derivative and unoriginal.

Yeah this cover came out awesome and great way to add Ringo. In my dreams Danger Mouse would produce Beady Eye or Noel. I'll keep dreaming. You win Sardy.
