playing for "robots" I saw damon live last week. It was amazing. I can't think of anyone, right now, more entertaining than him. I mean, he does EVERYTHING on stage. His band is great too. Jeff changed a lot since I saw him with beady eye, he looks like a member of "the clash" now. some fans had the chance to talk to damon's crew, and they say that he is already working in a new gorillaz album (He also have this "musical" thing going on..)

Man, this guy is a gift that keeps on giving. Though crucially, what's happening with Blur? New album or anything?

Though crucially, what's happening with Blur? New album or anything? from some interview he gave here in south america: " —What's the current Blur status? —I don't know, go check what's Blur's Facebook status (laughs) who knows, everything can happen."personally, I don't think it will happen. he said in a lot of interviews that was interested in doing something with gorillaz again.

Ah well, a new Gorillaz record is the next best thing. Not saying Gorillaz ain't as good, but it would be fascinating to see the lads team up and record a new album after so many years. God knows they all still have the ability to churn out top quality.

Talking about Blur, their biggest forum was closed, that's sad for their fans, cos there isn't an expecific place for them to talk about Blur, Gorillaz and Damon anymore.

I'm not sure if blur is ever going to get their act together. 2011-2012 seemed like a prime opportunity to release a new album with that reunion tour and all. That moment has no passed and Damon always has a million projects going on.

That female robot is a little creepy. Sorta like early Blade Runner look.

It'd be interesting to see what Blur would come up with at this point. I would love something in vein of their later work 13 and Blur. Think Tank is basically a Damon solo album, doesn't sound like "blur" the band, although Alex and Dave do add some nice moments on it. I'd be disappointed if they cashed in and returned to their Britpop sound. Too nostalgic, I want to see the band move forward.
Gorillaz is always exciting. Plastic Beach is one of Damon's best albums. Probably in the top three.

""""A serial collaborator who has released a dozen albums since Blur's last album, Think Tank, in 2003, Albarn is currently writing a West End theatre musical adaptation of a children's book, is in the process of reactivating Gorillaz for a 2016 release and is trying to find time to record a new The Good, the Bad & The Queen album, which he says is fully written. When asked of the status of Blur, however, he's more hesitant. "I would imagine there's some kind of future," he says warily, "but at the moment there's no time for the future – only the present. Who knows? I'm reluctant to say anything, because if I do, it just gets taken out of context and then I'm accused of being a wind-up."""" www.smh.com.au/entertainment/music/damon-albarn-releases-his-debut-album-everyday-robots-20141015-116can.html

Damon is probably the exact opposite of Noel, a truly passionate workaholic I'm pretty much looking forward to any new albums involving the name Damon Albarn. I still hope he keeps the band he's currently touring with. I didn't see them live yet, but I love the fact that you hear songs from his whole catalogue.

Good to hear there's a new The Good, the Bad & the Queen album coming Do you know when? I only heard that it's finished. So maybe next year? Gorillaz for 2016 is basically confirmed by Damon, right?

Well Damon said he had all the songs written but hasn't recorded anything yet with the rest of the band. So a year or two from now. Maybe 1.5 years.

"Damon will play at London's Royal Albert Hall with his live band The Heavy Seas for the first time this weekend.
It promises to be a unique show as Damon will be joined by some very special guests, De La Soul, Kano, Afel Bocoum, Madu Diabate, Graham Coxon, The Leytonstone City Mission Choir and of course The Heavy Seas choir too.
By popular demand, we will produce a limited edition Souvenir 2–CD set of the show, which will be recorded live by Abbey Road Studios Live Here Now and will be available for purchase immediately, after each performance, at the venue on the night or by mail-order"abbeyroadlive.sandbag.uk.com/Store/DisplayArtist.html?CatID=5702&ViewTourID=5703Much prefer a DVD of the show!

As the weather is getting colder and the clouds are beginning to gray a bit more, its time to rediscover this record. It is a remarkably solid listen.
Still amazed how well the songs went over live. Damon is great. Awesome to see De La Soul was at the RAH as well.

Does anybody know where to get the CDs from his Royal Albert Hall show for people who are not from the UK? Was the setlist the same or does it make sense to buy both nights?
