A million times this. Their first two albums are pretty good. After Cease to Begin, which is my favorite by them they just went downhill fast. Their past two albums have been horrible. They'll always have Detlef Schrempf which is one of the most beautiful songs.. Sometimes the singer gets on my nerves though. I absolutely love the band but Television never made anything better than Marquee Moon. It is one of the best rock n' roll records ever in my opinion. There's no shame in not making a better album than that, because many artists don't create something that good in the first place. Their second album Adventure is by no means a bad album, in fact I enjoy it a great deal, as well as their other work but they never bettered Marquee Moon. Doesn't mean they became shit like Band Of Horses or some other bands mentioned on here but they did peak early. It is never a good sign when a band has 6-8 different members over the last 7 year period. Ever take a deep look at the Band of Horses roster? It has been a revolving door.

Spocks Beard, Snow was all right, but since Neal Morse left (for me anyhow) I find them leaving the same taste in my mouth as Phil Collins era Genesis.

Muse- After Absolution Killers- After Sam's Town Kasabian- After their first The Strokes- Their albums are ranked in chronological order Stereophonics- Awesome first two albums but haven't done a good album in the 15 years since and they're still going!

Strange. Yeah they're band who nobody claims to like, yet they sell out huge arena's, something not right, Actually I know someone who likes them but then again he also likes The Offspring so he cannot claim to have any taste in music at all and therefore doesn't count

Mando Diao.
I really loved their debut album. Saw them in 2006 and 2009. They were such a great live band, but now they're nothing more than a cheap disco band.

MGMT. They were one of my favourite bands back in 2008/2009/2010. Debut (technically their second album but I won't count Climbing To New Lows) was awesome, second album was alright and third one is shit.

First band I ever saw, my favourite band before I knew Oasis, and now they're shit. I mean, how do you go from this: and this to this and this ? Seriously, they look ridiculous and that album cover is by far the worst I've ever seen.

Not saying this , because I actually enjoy early blur, , but after oarklife , I'd say say they regressed I can see where you are coming from but I think Self titled album is a great album in the top 3 albums they did. 13 has it's moments of magic as does Think Tank. But I think regressing is a bit OTT in my opinion anyway.

I always thought that oracular spectacular was overrated to be fair, apart from the singles I never taught they were up to much.

Well the singles are obviously the strongest songs, but I love Weekend Wars, 4th Dimensional Transition and Pieces Of What just as much. Electic Feel is a fucking tune though! That bassline!

They are one of those rare bands for me that never made a bad album. Even the ones people are sniffy about The Great Escape and Think Tank are very good albums. Albarn is a genius and Coxon is a guitar god.

They were for me a band always fighting agaisn't their strongest parts which was been a very good indie pop act. They wanted to be Spacemen 3 or the Flaming Lips but for me they should have turned out like Empire of the Sun (who did copy MGMT pop style). Fair play to them at wanting to try something new but they aren't strong enough to push those boundaries in my opinion. Agree Electric Feel is awesome. Best thing they done.

Blur's Britpop era from Modern Life... to The Great Escape is superb. Modern Life is just a journey. The Great Escape is the worst but its still a decent album. Parklife is just one those classic 90's albums. The vibe on Parklife reminds me of a British version of Weezer's Blue Album. Great simple pop/rock (not rock/pop) that is carried by a unique frontman.
Their later period is outstanding. When I'm in the right mood I kind of prefer it over their classic period. I really love 13, it is a remarkable album for a band that made stuff like Tracy Jacks years earlier. Blur and Think Tank are also really good. Their self-titled just has a great texture to it. Think Tank has some really bright moments on it. More akin to Damon's other work but I think it is a great last album from a fracturing band.
In short I don't really think they got worse. Blur's worst 2 albums are their first and Great Escape. The latter isn't poor. They got weirder.
There's been a lot of talk about their new album but a band I'd throw on here is Weezer. They haven't made a great album in over a decade.
