I don't think R.E.M. ever lost it, fans probably got into other bands, but they made amazing albums all the way through, which is rare in my opininon.

I don't think R.E.M. ever lost it, fans probably got into other bands, but they made amazing albums all the way through, which is rare in my opininon. Respectfully disagree ... I loved them . But to me they not only lost a edge , but a huge piece of artistry after that huge record deal I think after what's the frequency Kenneth era .... Still good but a DEFINATE major dip to me |

There is a noticeable dip in their material after "New Adventures in Hi-Fi ". I actually really enjoyed their final album "Collapse into Now". Many quality tunes on that one such as: Oh My Heart, It Happened Today, Walk It Back, Mine Smell Like Honey, etc. |

leaving new York was a classic, bad day was great, daysleeper, at my most beautiful, imitation of life, all the way to reno, and some great album tracks. guess we're all different.

Ok this is gonna be weird . But it does count ...... George Michael// wham Say what you want he wrote a lot hits. some I liked freedom 90 is a good tune so is father figure and monkey .... But man did he go downhill

I disagree with Oasis getting worse, yes their second album was imo their best, and their third was a flop, SOTSOG is better than BHN and DBTT is a great album. The other albums are also good, just flops when compared to the heights they reached in their first years.
Lots of artists peak early, Oasis were one of them.
as for Kings of leon, cant fucking stand their singers voice, like Thom Yorke..just another band I never understood the fuss about.

catherine wheel. i would put 'ferment' amongst the greatest albums of all-time, almost every song on there is a catchy as f*ck, not one weak track on there. and the wall of guitars! but after that, in my opinion the remainder of their material is just so god damn mediocre, the mind boggles what happened.
