I love My Big Mouth but I HATE Roll With It. It's awful. How Noel thought it was album, let alone single worthy is mental.

I quite like Roll With It, especially the last minute or so. The whole song is like being repeatedly hit over the head with a club by Liam. Noel is possibly the worst judge of his music - that he thought this belonged as a single and The Masterplan is a b-side is worrying to say the least but this is well documented... He seems to have the b-side thing under control these days - DTD is exactly how good I want his b-sides to be, good enough to confirm he's still on his best run of songs since (WTS)MG? but not so good so as the Up In The Sky>Fade Away logic starts to loom large...

The best Oasis tune to get pumped up to is unequivocally Bring It On Down. Must say i prefer both Fade Away and Headshrinker in that regard, but Bring It On Down is quality too.

Mine is Morning Glory. It was my alarm clock for a long time too. When you hear that, you're awake immediately! Fade Away is awesome too.

I actually like Roll With It, its the tune that first hooked me on Oasis, but nearly everyone on here slates it, so dont really get how that one is overrated?
And different people obviously rate things differently, one man's overrated is an other man's underrated, its all personal preference really.
As someone said earlier in the thread, Wonderwall has got to be the most overrated if we're talking about non oasis die hards, a lot of people in the world would rate that as easily their best song id imagine. But between Oasis fans its not so clear cut, because Live Forever, Slide Away, Some Might Say and others are often rated above Wonderwall.
Depends who is doing the rating doesn't it really.

In fact, it would probably be a better single than Roll With It. The Masterplan is a single - at LEAST an album track and you know it.

Single worthy during that period of time? Probably not, it lacks that spark.
Definitely album worthy though.

Indeed. I mean who rates Sunday Morning Call! Kalas And me. About The Masterplan: agree. Great song, better than Roll With It imo, but not something that people wanted on the radio in '95. However, it deserved more than a B-side. Somehow it doesn't really fit on Morning Glory though.

Somehow it doesn't really fit on Morning Glory though. Wasn't The Masterplan written after Morning Glory and specifically as a b-side? It's still played on XFM - the live version from Knebworth was played a lot recently to coincide with the Morning Glory reissue - and it still gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it.
