Wouldn't be liked as much by Oasis fans if it wasn't for the "I'm sorry but I just don't know..." bit. Always had a soft spot for Shakermaker tbh, but I think 1994 Liam's youthful voice makes up somewhat for Shakermaker and Digsy's Dinner's deficiencies. The whole spirit of the album really makes both songs great. I can listen to Digsy's Dinner on its own because it's made with such contagiously fun, youthful energy that embodies the spirit of the time and can be applied to your own life experience... like right now for me and being involved with this girl in a way I have never been with any other person ever before. The energy of Digsy's Dinner hits the spot. Shakermaker has some of that but it not being as original of a song hurts it.

I think instead that the fact these songs are surrounded by instant classics make them look paler than they actually are. True. But I don't know why Shakermaker was chosen for the band's second single when there are so many better songs on Definitely Maybe like Bring It On Down for example. But we all know how terrible Noel is for choosing singles.Β BIOD was meant to be a single but Noel said they couldn't quite get it right. Whatever that was.

Yeah, I know and I was using it just as an example. I feel sure that it was something to do with the drumming.

I don't know if I mentioned it earlier but any of the singles off of Don't Believe the Truth, plus Turn Up The Sun amongst the fans. Everything about the that album is unremarkable imo.

I wouldn't really say that Don't Believe The Truth was overrated as the album seems to get a lot of hate on here apart from songs like The Importance Of Being Idle and one or two others.

I personally like Don't Believe The Truth and always have. Ok there's one or two tracks which aren't as good but over all it's a good album.

Yeah, I agree that Wonderwall is overrated. However I still love the song and always have.

Strangely I think Wonderwall amongst Oasis fans is underrated. Because itβs been played to death and is one of the most recognised songs worldwide ever is sometimes gets dismissed. However the reason it is both of those things is because itβs a bloody great song! The arrangement, melody, vocal delivery are about as perfect for a song as you can get

However I'm not sure if Wonderwall is underrated amongst Oasis fans though.

Although I love The Importance Of Being Idle I think that it's a little overrated. It's still one of Noel's best songs though from the 2000s.
