Falling Down - boring as hell. The Importance of Being Idle - cool tune but I'd say Lyla was much better.
The Masterplan - It's not even decent after the first verse. That verse is memorable enough for me to occasionally return and give it another try, only to shake my head in regret. I just can't believe Noel's kept it on his setlist for that long and still manages to make the same decision.

I'm surprised!
The only songs that caught much more than it should, are wonderwall and Lyla.
Other than this, check the youtube views, they are all pretty fair.
Champagne supernova is epic, that solo, the layers of guitars, the build up, it's ace.
Let's all make believe is not even known.
Little by Little is a good radio hit around the time it was released, and it stayed there.
Cigarettes and Alcohol is good enough for the credit it has. What other song has the energy, swag, and lyrical representativeness of a youth zeitgeist? When that was released, no other song was even close. At least not in the UK.

Let's All Make Believe is overrated on this forum......the first time i saw someone mention it as being great i thought they were joking or mentally handicapped until others also mentioned it. yes, it has a great Liam vocal but nothing else is all that amazing... God bless.

I don't think Wonderwall is overrated. Overplayed, yes, definitely, but you can't deny it's a great song and Oasis wouldn't have been what it was/is without it.

Little By Little is horrible. Cigarettes and Alcohol I love live but never liked the studio version.

Lyla. It wasn't even the best song on the single.

I find cigarettes + alcohol and rock n roll star to be pretty meh. I think they're viewed so favorably because of the cultural impact they had at the time rather than their musical quality.
Columbia on the other hand is a musical marvel, might be the most underrated Oasis tune in their discography.

Dont look back in anger, its a great tune, but not as great as its been made out to be imo Not oasis, but another one i probably dont 'get' is alone on the rope, to me it sounds like a generic b-side

Don't Look Back In Anger,
It holds great memories for me and is a great sing along but in isolation if I was to base this on just the song itself, it wouldn't even make my top 30 Oasis songs.

I don't think Wonderwall is overrated. Overplayed, yes, definitely, but you can't deny it's a great song and Oasis wouldn't have been what it was/is without it. Same. People call it a bad song because it's overplayed. So the quality of the song changes in a negative way just because it was a huge hit? Strange. Anyway, Let's All Make Believe. Definitely not as amazing as people make it out to be. Same goes for Slide Away. Don't Go Away (what, a chorus written by a 5 year old? How great! Good melody though) The Hindu Times Not Oasis but ALONE ON THE ROPE.

Stand By Me: gets boring after two minutes. Cigarettes & Alcohol: great riff, but that's about it. Let There Be Love: slow, plodding, boring. Meh.

Agree with LIB & the Doctor, LAMB is a fine b-side but would have been a weak album track. There are quite a few great b-sides from that era (Full On, Carry Us All for example), LAMB is just average IMO.

Slide away is the definition of amazing, if we're saying that's overrated then we may as well lump them all in the overrated section, every song they ever did.

The Hindu Times
The demo is good, but the studio version came out awfully sloppy, yet some people regard the sloppy version highly. I don't get it, so therefore, chalk that up as overrated.
