I'm sure HFB #2 will be a superb record like Noel's first solo effort. Sure I'd wish he would be more ambitious with his production and producer choices but at the end of the day, I can't complain about the product since I enjoyed the previous one so much.

Why is everyone so confident that Revolution Song will be on the album, has Noel indicated anything to suggest this? I think I read an article about a year ago with Noel saying he was going to have it on the next album. I might try to go find it. Yes, I put a scan last year with that interview here. www.live4ever.proboards.com/post/961416/thread

Even if this album is better than HFB1, is it possible for it to be more commercially successful than the first one with all the post Oasis hype?

At best it would probably equal the success of HFB #1. Then again a "hit" single could change all that. We know he's going to be putting 4-5 excellent songs on it. Hopefully the masses respond to this legend of a man.

Even if this album is better than HFB1, is it possible for it to be more commercially successful than the first one with all the post Oasis hype? Maybe not. But then again he has hype in his own right with an extremely well received multiplatinum album. Nothing to sneeze at. But even if he follows Beady Eye's trend with a drop off of 50% he'll still be platinum. I think it'll depend on his singles. Another single as big as What a Life and he could match HFB. HFB would never have done what it did without it. I know some people think that he'll stay in his same zone because of HFB's success. But when you think about it...the tune that was the farthest out from his comfort zone was a large part of that album success more than any other tune arguably. That might encourage him to continue with moderate level of exploration as he realizes that the public and fan base will, not only accept, but embrace him pushing his sound into something not so "Oasis" sounding.

Well let's be honest, WAL in terms of pushing boundaries for Noel is like a 3 out of 10. He has done far more experimental things in the past (Setting Sun, Let Forever Be, Teotihuacan, The Knock On Effect, etc). Noel over hyped that disco/Madonna/Floor Shaker description. It's not that crazy. One thing is true though, it's a GREAT tune.

I've always thought that AKA WAL would have sounded great on BE at track 3.
But I am looking very forward to the gradual leaks of info, song titles, faked tracklistings, etc. Let the madness begin!

Im really hoping the dying of the light is on his next album- it sounds amazing!
I really like let it come down over me but think of it more like a finished song and I don't think it needs changing at all.
come on outside has a good groove to it but seems to be missing a little something. hope its tweeked if it is gonna be on there.
let the tracklisting guessing and bullshit begin lol

I'd like to see TDOTL,Freaky Teeth,Come On Outside and God help us all on the album The Dying of the light it's for me one of Noel's best songs,Freaky Teeth it's brillant and live it's fantastic,Come on outside live would be just mental and God Help Us All even if I wasn't a big fan of it now I think it has a great melody

I hope the Dying Of |The Light is on it, even in the version we've heard it's one of my favorite Gallagher songs ever and I want a fully produced Come On (It's Alright) maybe with a bit more substance, it's catchy and rocks but it's a bit basic and vapid, would have fit VERY well on DOYS. The rest I hope are new songs. Let it come down over me is PERFECT the way it is in demo form and the rest aren't good enough to make a NG album...and I want as many new unheard songs as possible!

Met Phil Smith at the pub (can't remember the name, but it was in the corner) in Kentish Town before the Happy Mondays gig at Forum last friday.
He confirmed for me and my friends that Noel is in the studio and that the album will be released in autumn 2014.
I asked him; "Will you be DJ-ing?"
Phil answered; "I fucking hope so!"

I've already overplayed TDOTL to death And how long has revolution song been out? Noel made it clear that STC & RM were the last 2 oasis "postcard gifts" to the fans, I don't think we'll see that song on HFBII. I'm most looking forward to a finished version of bye bye my family, that melody even at its preliminary stages is absolutely gorgeous.

Fake tracklists, love them! Bring 'em on!
We're days away from:
"My mate's mate, who works for a company which name I can't disclose here, told me that two new songs are called "Cupboard Mind" and "Let The Horses Sing", I think that the latter might be a new version of "Bye Bye My family" though."

I always prefer the demo version over the album version of several Oasis/Noel songs. i.e. I Wanna Live In a Dream, They Got Nothing On Me, The Hindu Times etc. So have we figured out if Sardy is out and Coyle is producing? OR it could be Sardy and Coyle co-producing? I have a feeling that Noel will finally find mainstream success in America with this cd! He must have met Oprah Winfrey at the BAFTA's. She could propel him to success in the USA!

He may be the least imaginative producer there is.
