I hate to do this because as a person I really cant stand him but I can understand his point. The national response was extremely slow and if I was black American I probably would have been pissed at the government as well. There is no way if that storm hit NYC and it was underwater that response would have been so slow.

All I'm saying is that it sounds very tongue-in-cheek.

I love BE. However, my favorite album of the 'past month' is KT Tunstall's. You don't see me starting a new thread parading about how awesome it is and how it's the "best album of the past month" expecting an obvious reaction from someone else.

Again, it's not the fact that he posted about Kanye on the forum.... it has more to do with the lack of need to have yet another entire thread for this topic. He could have easily made his opinion known without the use of a new thread for it. He would have gotten plenty of responses anyhow. But the board has been filled lately with a a ton of pointless threads about this and that. The original post wasn't even asking for opinions or comparing or anything.... it was a statement in 3 short sentences..... hardly an excuse to make a whole new thread for it.

I don't hate RAP, or even Kanye.... but the forum doesn't need to be littered by a million new threads that could easily be handled by other threads.

It's all good though.

(For the record, I've listened to the album as a whole, and its not my thing.)

I gotta say @kitjenson never thought of that , eva has been talking of needless threads , and while he put in right place ( not being a sheriff can care less about etiquette as most know ) That statement actually fit perfectly in " there I said it " but then it would not got quite the reaction it did intended or not .. Good point man

And for the record no knock on poster either way is cool but the there i said it thread seems to fit and no thread would be required .

Edit : and at the end of the day who really cares its a thread just like we can ignore posters we can ignore threads, if we so choose so no big deal anyways

While I may agree whole heartily Bruno if I say it because of my past I'm called a " sheriff" or a person who offers " homespun advise " ill leave the opinions to the rest , all I say is easy , before you defend or criticize , take a minute to go to profile and tap most recent posts read there work it's all there , you will quickly see who posts what and whether the majority of there posts are critical ,sarcastic , and so on its all there if anyone cares before they defend posts or criticize

If I wanted attention I could just go into the BDI section of the forum and wreak absolute havoc as a large section of the mad4it brigade are very easily wound up but I felt like posting on an album I enjoyed.

As for saying I could have posted it in the 'last album I listened to' thread I guess I could have but I felt a separate thread might have made some other Kanye fans get talking and there are actually some on here.

It's a mega selling album worldwide from a huge artist so again I felt a thread was a valid thing to create but that's just my opinion on the matter.

I think I Am A God might be one of my favorite songs of the year. Not so sure about the rest of the album, it kind of dragged near the end. My favorite hip-hop album of the year is Run The Jewels, amazing stuff.

I totally respect rap in terms of the amount of ideas it allows its performers to express in just one song. You can express more in 2-3 rap songs than in a whole rock album, IMO. 2Pac, Eminem, Run DMC, Beastie Boys etc. are all great to me. But there are maybe 2-3 rap songs I put on par with rock music, simply because I don't think that making the music for rap is that hard. And I definitely refuse to call Kanye West a musical genius, talking words has nothing to do with music, just like sampling 3 notes over and over.

As of Yeezus - gave it a listen, didn't like it very much. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy had some good songs, but I didn't find many good ones on Yeezus. Oh yeah, and that Rolling Stone reviewer who said ''Every mad genius has to make a record like this at least once in his career – at its nastiest, his makes Kid A or In Utero or Trans all look like Bruno Mars.'' should really seek psychiatric help. Seriously, comparing Kanye West to In Utero? Fuckin' hell...

Just saw this thread, thought I would throw my opinion out there. Yeezus is bullshit. Start to finish. Kanye West is the luckiest man in Hip-Hop because he is the 'hipsters choice' hence his albums are hailed as being 'visionary' and 'game changing' and all that other shit Pitchfork and the like use to describe his music. Now as for Yeezus being 'visionary' it isn't, Kanye has simply done what he always does and found a bandwagon to jump on, in this case noise-hop, and decided fuck it I'm a God I'll take this shit and make it mainstream. The production which every pseudo-hipster and journalist has been praising to the heavens isn't original at all, Lupe did this shit on mixtapes over 3 years ago and Death Grips has basically done the exact same type of music and critics slammed it. So if the production isn't original/visionary then what is? His lyrics? I highly doubt that, he isn't even in the top 10 rappers currently in the industry/charts. Kanye is shite and so is Yeezus.

Maybe not the critics then, but Hip-Hop heads in general don't like it and play it down but then turn round and say that Yeezus is amazing when it clearly isn't. If Yeezus is in your top few albums of 2013 then fair enough, but it's shit and it's not Hip-Hop, it's just another Kanye West I'm the shit ego trip. Honestly don't understand how people think it's a good album when it has lines like 'In a french ass restaurant, hurry up with ma damn croissants' come on man, this was alot of critics choice for album of the year and it has lines like that on it? Fuck that.
