I may not be a big rap fan but anyone that writes off a whole genre is bordering on pathetic. I'm amazed at how much rap bashing there is...not just Kanye bashing. No one is writing off an entire genre. I don't like rap in general because I don't consider it to be music. Most of it is out of tune anyway. If you like it good for you. I was just pointing out manicsfan's glarring hypocrisy in being a Kanye fan and the way he reacts on this forum. |

I agree wholeheartedly, if this is in fact a music forum, all types of music should be embraced. This is not a music forum.... this is a forum about a specific musical act and their by products, Oasis. I doubt that many rap forums discuss Oasis on a regular basis. Again, I have no issue with Rap at all, but why even bring it up in this setting? If you drop your opinion of Yeezus in the 'Last album I Listened to' thread then fine, but starting a new thread to discuss the album on an Oasis forum is simply a ploy to rile people up. Really uncalled for. This is one of the most asinine things that I have ever seen posted on this forum. Is this an Oasis forum? Yes but the post is specifically posted in the Rock N Roll Star section which is to discuss all types of music. Ive tried listening to the album. There are a few songs that I enjoy but for the most part Ive never understood the hype and acclaim for Kanye. But for you and others having a problem with this thread in the "other music" thread is just obnoxious. No where do I see where he is trolling. You are absolutely correct , I forget if its on page 1 or 2 here but literally said what you did he posted it in right spot and is entitled to his opinion on rap and the lp . I don't like manicsfan and am sure the feeling is more than mutual , however he has a right to post that in rock and roll star.... The problem lies in the recent thread option when you read your board you no longer see where post came from and I think people assume posts get put in wrong spot , but this one was put right where it belonged In years gone by you would have seen it was in rock and roll star and maybe chose not to waste your time , now you tap most recent threads and see the most recent post , it sorta killed the whole sub board idea really cause now we are all lumped together , for years I did not know anyone in sound and vision and very few from lounge Let It🩸 and. Tam were the only ones off top of my head I remember who stayed mainly in lounge , now when u post there is no distinction and you get this friction ,that we didnt have then IMO ... Just because I don't like the guy means he is is wrong . |
